Travel from Kampala to Bwindi impenetrable National Park

Our driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala at 7:00hrs and start your journey heading west to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Along the way have a stopover at the Equator to take photos, also feel free to buy some crafts and souvenirs as you head to Mbarara town where you will have your lunch from. Thereafter, proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest where you will arrive in the afternoon to check in to your Lodge or Camp. In the evening have a visit to the batwa pygmies communities to learn about Batwa’s traditional forest life. Later return to the Lodge / Camp for dinner and overnight.

Gorilla trekking tour and travel to Lake Bunyonyi Island

Wake up very early at around 5:00 am and transfer to Bwindi forest for registration and briefing about mountain gorilla trekking highlights at the starting point. Penetrate the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to look for these gentle giant mountain gorillas under the guidance of a trained, knowledgeable and experienced guide. Time taken tracking highly depends on how fast you will locate a gorilla family, it can take us from a few minutes to several hours depending on the location of the gorillas and their speed of movement. On meeting them Spend an hour with the gorillas, enjoy their company and learn about their social behaviours. Hike back from the highly tiresome adventure to meet your driver guide and drive through the terraced hills heading to Lake Bunyonyi island for a comfortable evening to relax by the Lake Bunyonyi. Enjoy your dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

Canoe ride and Travel back to Kampala and transfer to Hotel or Entebbe Airport

After breakfast, you will join a boat cruise to explore different islands of Lake Bunyonyi. Enjoy the cool breezes of beautiful birds and look out for numerous small birds on the lake shores. Later start your drive back to Kampala and on arrival transfer to the airport for your return flight.
