Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

After breakfast in the morning, you'll board a 4x4 Land Cruiser safari vehicle and set off for a safari to Tarangire National Park. This park boasts the highest population density of elephants in Tanzania, with herds of up to 300 elephants digging into the dry riverbed for underground streams. You'll also encounter migratory wildebeests, zebras, buffalos, impalas, gazelles, hartebeests, and elands. Tarangire offers the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem, making it a prime hunting ground for predators. It's one of the few places in Tanzania where you can regularly spot dry-country antelope, such as the stately fringe-eared oryx and the unique long-necked gerenuk. After a full day of game drives, you will be transferred to your booked lodge in the evening for dinner, a warm shower, and your overnight stay.
