You will be met upon arrival and transferred to your hotel. You'll refresh and begin your sightseeing of Addis with the drive up to Entoto for a panoramic view of Addis. You'll descend and drive to the National Museum where you will have a chance to spot the oldest hominids of the ‘Lucy’ fossil. You'll visit and proceed to the Holy Trinity built during WWII. Then to the Ethnographic Museum, which used to be the palace of Emperor Hailesellase. To wrap up you will drive to Merkato, the biggest open market in East Africa. You'll visit and drive back to your hotel for your overnight stay.

Fly Addis to Semera then Drive to Ahmed Ela
You will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Semera. You will be met upon arrival and driven to Ahmed Ela, 25 km away from Dallol Depression. Late in the afternoon, you will get a chance to see the Camel Caravans, who brought salt bars from Lake Assale and transported them to the central parts of the country. Then, you will head to your camping site.

Excursion to Dallol and Drive to Erta Ale Volcano
After an early breakfast, you will have an excursion to Dallol, the second lowest point on earth next to the Dead Sea, which is 116 mts below sea level. You'll visit and proceed to Lake Asale where you will get a chance to see the salt mining and also the loading of salt bars over camels and ride them as a camel caravan. You'll enjoy your morning and drive to Ahmed Ela. After lunch, you will embark on Erta Ale, the active volcano of over 2 million years. When the sun sets, you will begin your walking to the active volcano on the top of the calderas to see the active volcano. You'll enjoy the beauty and walk back to your camping site for your overnight stay.

Drive Erta Ale to Semera
You'll enjoy your breakfast at the Erta Ale and bounce to walk back to the calderas and see the volcano once again. Then, you will back to Semera visiting en route Lake Afrera, the saline lake in Eastern Ethiopia. You'll proceed to Semera to visit one of the Afar villages. To wrap up, you will head to your campsite for an overnight stay.

Fly Semera to Addis Ababa
You will be transferred to the airport for your flight back to Addis. You will be met upon arrival and checked into your hotel for day use. In the evening, you will attend a folkloric dinner where you will have a chance to taste several national dishes and watch dances of the various ethnic groups of Ethiopia. The traditional coffee ceremony will also be served. Later, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure.
