Tarangire National Park
After breakfast at around 8:00 am, our safari guide picks you from the lodge and drive to Tarangire National Park (approximately 2 hours). The park is named after the Tarangire River which runs through it. This is the only source of water for wildlife in the region during the dry season. In some places, the vegetation is quite dense, including elephant grass, acacia woodlands and lush groundwater forest. The park is well known for its elephant families, which can often be seen congregating by the river. Huge herds of elephant are a distinctive feature of Tarangire so are many massive baobab trees, grassland, swamps and floodplains found here. It is home to big cats, giraffe, baboons and hippo and many, many more species. Tree-climbing lions and rock pythons are other local specialties. We'll have lunch at the picnic site. In the afternoon, we will drive to Karatu town approximately 2 hours to our accommodation. Here we take the opportunity to relax and enjoy dinner.

Serengeri National Park
After breakfast, we'll depart towards the most famous national park in the world, the Serengeti. The driving itself, although long, is spectacular. We will stop at the Loduare gate entrance to the Ngorongoro, have a brief stop at the crater viewpoint then proceed. We stop at the Naabi hill gate for lunch and paperwork. As you progress well into the Serengeti, you will see why the name means, in the local Maasai language, "endless plains". The plains will stretch to the horizon defying your senses and perception of distances. As for big cats and large predators, it's the place of choice to look out for lions, cheetahs, leopards and hyenas. Millions of wildebeest and zebras flow south from the northern hills to the southern plains for the short rains every October and November, and then swirl west and north after the long rains in April, May, and June. Serengeti is truly home to the legendary Great Wildebeest Migration. We'll arrive at the tented camp in the evening to enjoy the sunset.

Serengeti National Park
This is a full day in the Serengeti National Park. You are completely flexible with your preferences and this day will be organized according to your wishes. Every day of the safari, your guide will discuss with you the best timings for you, including the game drives and the wake-up time. Or you could do a full day game drive with a picnic lunch. On this day, you have an option to make the most of your time at Serengeti National Park by adding a sunrise hot air balloon ride to your vacation. This lets you view the plains and wildlife from a perspective many never experience. In the late afternoon, we'll drive back to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay. Though it’s easy to spot hyenas during the day, they’re most active at night. If you listen closely after dark—or really at all—you’ll likely hear their eerie cries in the distance.

Serengeti Via Ngorongoro Crater
We'll have an early breakfast, drive out of the Serengeti and on to Ngorongoro Crater for a game viewing drive. This is a good day to look for the Big Five—lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo and elephant. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s most famous sites and is said to have the highest density of wildlife in Africa. Sometimes described as an ‘eighth Wonder of the World, the Crater has achieved world renown, attracting an ever-increasing number of visitors each year. You are unlikely to escape other vehicles here, but you are guaranteed great wildlife viewing in a genuinely mind-blowing environment. There is nowhere else in Africa quite like Ngorongoro! It's one of the best places in the country to see the endangered black rhinoceros, as the park is home to the entirety of the Big Five. It is also a particularly good place to see lions and Cape buffalo all year-round. A packed lunch will be served at a picnic site. Later, drive to your lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.
