Welcome to Kenya

This morning you will be picked up from Nairobi’s Airport (JKIA) or a Nairobi city hotel by an expert safari guide from Kaylan Tours and Travel. Depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, where a leisurely drive will take you through the Great Rift Valley. Arrive and embark on a game viewing drive en route to your safari lodge offering panoramic views of Lake Nakuru.

Following lunch, you will have some time to relax, before heading out for an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru hosts one of the largest black rhino concentrations in Kenya. Other indigenous mammals include spotted hyena, lion, leopard, hippopotamus, rock hyrax, bat-eared fox, wildcat, golden cat, Bohor reedbuck, Defassa waterbuck, Colobus monkey, Rothschild’s giraffe, black and white rhinoceros. The park is also famous for large quantity of flamingos (estimated as millions) that famously line the shore.

Return back to the lodge for dinner and your overnight.

This morning depart for Masai Mara, Kenya’s most famous wildlife reserve offering wonderful scenery and plenty of game. Arrive and embark on a game viewing drive en route to your safari lodge for lunch. Relax at leisure this afternoon before venturing to the reserve for a game viewing drive until dusk.

A visit to the Mara almost guarantees visitors to see lions, elephants, cheetah, leopard, cape buffalo, and rhinoceros, as well as giraffes, hippos, hyenas, Nile crocodiles, wildebeest, zebra, gazelles, antelopes, and more.

Full day game viewing in Masai Mara

Take a packed picnic lunch box from the lodge with you, and explore Masai Mara on a full-day game viewing drive. Return in the late afternoon to enjoy the hotel facilities including an outdoor swimming pool. Dinner and your overnight are at the hotel.

Each year between July and September, one of nature's grandest spectacles; the wildebeest migration takes place in Masai Mara. Over one-and-a-half million wildebeest accompanied by half again as many zebras and gazelles, begin their migration from the short-grass plains of the Serengeti to the fresh green pastures of the Masai Mara and its conservancies. This epic trek also presents a golden opportunity for many of Africa’s major predators among them, lions and leopards as well as the crocodiles in the Mara-River.
