3-Day Mount Kilimanjaro Hike, Ngorongoro & Tarangire

Arusha / Moshi to Kilimanjaro (Marangu Gate)

Our guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha city / Moshi town. After a quick briefing, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro National Park's Eastern entrance, Marangu Gate at 1,860 m (6,046 ft). After the quick formality of registering the climbing permits and registering with the rescue service, the group will start trekking up to Mandara Hut at 2,700 m (8,858 ft). The trekking route includes a passage through the rainforest where tropical showers are highly probable, so we recommend taking raincoats.

When you reach the camp, you will be provided with lunch boxes. After lunch, you can hike to the beautiful Maundi Crater nearby. It will take about 30 minutes, and you will start your descent down to the park's exit, the Marangu Gate. Our driver will pick you up and drive you to your hotel in the town of Arusha.

Drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast from your Arusha hotel, your driver-guide will pick you up at 7:30 am. You will drive to Tarangire National Park with a picnic lunch. We will then go on a full-day game drive, viewing herds of elephants, leopards, zebras, lions, antelopes, oryx, and many more animals. We will also explore the Tarangire River, which provides refuge for the wild animals in the park.

In the late afternoon, we will drive to Farm of Dreams Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, you will go on a game drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. The animals in the crater, especially the rare black rhino, can be easily spotted early in the morning when their tracks are closer to the roads. They like to take shelter in the thicker, forested areas during the day. The Ngorongoro Crater is famous for the abundance of animals and birds that can be spotted at very close range. You will be provided with a picnic lunch inside the park.

Later in the day, we will drive back to Arusha and drop you off at your hotel, marking the end of this trip.
