Day 1

Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park

Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park

You will be picked up by our representative driver-guide who will brief you about the trip. You then start your journey to Kidepo Valley National Park via Luwero, Nakasongora, Gulu, and Kitugum. The drive takes about 6 to 7 hours. On arrival, you can relax and maybe go on an evening game drive (depending on how tired you are). Later, have dinner and enjoy the campfire before you turn in.

Day 2

Game drive and cultural activities

Game drive and cultural activities

Wake up early in the morning at 6:00 am and have a lovely African breakfast before you go for a game drive. View numerous wild animals like buffaloes, elephants, Jackson's hartebeests, zebras, leopards, kobs, and many other antelopes. The game drive usually takes 3 to 4 hours, depending on the sightings.

Later, you will return to the lodge for lunch whereafter you will participate in a cultural dancing activity. Go on an evening game drive where you will have the opportunity to view beautiful scenes of the Narus River plus a diversity of wild animals including buffaloes, elephants, lions, and hartebeests. You will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Enjoy breakfast at your lodge early in the morning before hitting the road for the most beautiful protected area in Uganda - Murchison Falls National Park. This park is located about 300 kilometers north of Kampala. You will pass through the famous Kitugumu Triangle and have a stopover in Gulu for lunch. We arrive at Murchison Falls in the evening for check-in at the lodge, dinner and overnight.

Day 4

Game drive and boat cruise

Game drive and boat cruise

After breakfast, prepare to cross to the ferry for a morning game drive. Your guide will help you spot the plethora of wildlife found in the park. You will see lots of African wildlife including elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, different species of antelopes, and many tropical birds. Thereafter, you will drive back to the hotel for lunch.

After a sumptuous meal, get ready to take a trip to the waterfall at 2 pm. You can also opt to hike for 45 minutes to visit the top of the falls. This is an experience that brings all the senses into play. Watch waves of white water tumble hypnotically through this 6-meter chasm, listen to the roar of the water, taste the spray on your face and feel the rock shake beneath your feet. It is a sheer sensory overload that you don't want to miss!

Day 5

Rhino sanctuary and back to Kampala

Rhino sanctuary and back to Kampala

Start your day with an African breakfast before we set off for Kampala. We have a stopover at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in the Nakasongola district. The rhino re-introduction project is a project of Rhino Fund Uganda and the Uganda Wildlife Authority. We start the walk with the local guide to view the animals in the sanctuary. Later, we have lunch at Kabalega Diner before being transferred back to Kampala.
