You'll be picked up from your Nairobi hotel at 7:30 am to Nanyuki town for lunch, taking about 4 hours. You'll proceed to Sirimon Gate, 1 hr, 2440m. From the gate, you'll follow the track as it winds uphill through the forest which becomes heathland after about 3 hrs. About 3½ hours from the gate the track veers right to old Moses camp, 3300m for dinner and an overnight stay, L, D.

After breakfast, you'll follow the track uphill, forking left at the junction. After one hour from Old Moses Camp, the track crosses the Ontulili River. You'll go right contouring through the Moorland crossing Liki North and continue uphill to Mackinders Valley from where there are panoramic views up the valley towards the main peaks. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Shipton Camp, 4200m, B, L, D.

Day 3

You'll leave at 3 am up a steep stony quarry that cuts through a cliff clearing visible part towards lower Hall arriving at Mount Kenya point Lenana( 6km from Shipton camp) at 6:30 am, taking about 3hrs.
After sunrise, you'll descend to Mintos hut (6km), 2hrs, for breakfast and 20km, 4-5hrs further down to Mount Meru Bandas, 2950m, for dinner and overnight stay on Mount Kenya, B, L, D.

You'll descend 2hr and 15km to forest clearance to catch a 4x4 transfer vehicle to Samburu. You'll arrive at Samburu National Reserve in time for lunch, and an afternoon game drive. The Samburu is one of the lesser-known Kenyan national parks but is nevertheless teeming with wildlife. Situated alongside the Ewaso Nyiro River, there is plenty here to attract animals from the surrounding savanna plains. The reserve is home to an abundance of rare northern species such as the Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, and the beisa oryx (also referred to as the “Samburu Special Five"). Meal plan: Full board accommodation.

You'll enjoy an early morning game drive in Samburu. The morning is the most ideal time for wildlife viewing. Your guide will make certain to search for the elusive leopards and lions along the way. You'll return to your lodge for breakfast and then spend the remainder of the day at your leisure. In the afternoon, you will go on another game drive in search of the abundant wildlife at Samburu. Alternatively, you can depart after breakfast with a picnic lunch and do a full-day game drive, returning to the camp later afternoon. You will encounter and learn more about the wildlife species roaming this reserve. On a typical game drive, you are bound to come across leopards, elephants, lions, and giraffes, among other wild species. After your evening game drive, you will return to your lodge for evening rest and dinner. Meal plan: Full board accommodation.

After breakfast, you will depart from Samburu with a game drive en route driving to Nanyuki. You'll arrive at the Comfort Garden O Pejeta in time for lunch and afternoon rest. Ol Pejeta is the only place in Kenya to see chimpanzees. You will have an afternoon game drive around the Ol Pejeta Conservancy returning to your camp in time for dinner. After breakfast, you will depart from the foot of Mt Kenya and trace your way along the fringes of the Aberdare Ranges towards the Rift Valley. You will drive into the rift valley arriving on the shores of Lake Naivasha in time for lunch. The Lake Naivasha ecosystem is comprised of the saltwater lake, savannah grassland, and acacia forest. The lake supports a wide variety of water birds and different species of mammals including the giraffe, hippo, antelopes, and others. You will enjoy cycling at Hells Gate National Park before returning to your lodge for dinner and your overnight stay. Meal plan: Full board accommodation.

Day 8

After an early breakfast, you will head out for a boat ride on Lake Naivasha. Later, you will depart for Masai Mara National Reserve. You will drive into Masai land, tracing the Rift Valley escarpment and wild open plains before stopping at the Masai town of Narok. From here you will make your way into the park, arriving in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive. This is one of Kenya’s most visited reserves due to its extraordinary wildlife density, including the Big Five and many other varieties of plains game. The Mara River cuts through the Mara and Serengeti ecosystems, giving life to both reserves before finally pouring out into Lake Victoria. Impressive and most notable are the wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles that migrate by instinct from the Serengeti in Tanzania to the Masai Mara in Kenya. This journey is coupled with numerous obstacles, which makes it even more magnificent. Meal plan: Full board accommodation.

Today, you will be treated to a full-day game drive within this expansive Reserve teeming with wildlife. The area you will visit today is one of the richest predator areas of the Mara and will be our focus. You can also expect to see lots of elephants, hippos, Masai giraffes, common zebras, wildebeest, impalas, Thompson’s and Grant’s gazelles, topi, black-backed jackals, spotted hyenas, and more. You'll have an early morning game drive in the Mara returning to your camp for breakfast. Once you arrive in Nairobi in the early afternoon, you will be transferred to your residence or your hotel of choice.
