You’ll meet your driver-guide at McEllys Hotel at 8:30am, and embark on a journey with a picnic lunch in hand to Tarangire National Park for a full day game drive.
Spanning 2,600 square kilometers, Tarangire National Park boasts an impressive array of wildlife. During dry periods, its animal concentration rivals that of the more renowned Serengeti. The numbers are staggering: 30,000 zebras, 25,000 wildebeests, 5,000 buffaloes, 3,000 elephants, 2,500 Maasai giraffes, and over 1,000 fringe-eared oryxes. The park is also home to predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards.
Conclude your day with dinner and you overnight stay at Eileen's Trees Inn or similar.

Serengeti National Park game drives viewing
After an early breakfast, we’ll embark on a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch in hand en route to Serengeti National Park—passing through the beautiful highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area along the way. As we bid farewell to the highlands, we’ll descend into the heart of untamed Africa—Serengeti National Park, where vast plains roll into the distance as far as the eye can see.
Our destination is the central Serengeti area, specifically the Seronera region, which is one of the park's most biodiverse wildlife habitats. Here, the Seronera River serves as a crucial water source, drawing a diverse array of wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species.
Dinner and your overnight stay will be at Serengeti Heritage Luxury Tented camp or similar.

Serengeti National Park game drives viewing
At 5:30am you’ll collect your breakfast box and then set out on a sunrise game drive until 9:30am. We’ll return to the camp to collect picnic lunch boxes and then continue our game drive in this wonderful park.
Our guides will choose the best locations for spotting animals based on the season. We can spend some time at the hippo pool, where these majestic creatures laze about in the cool water next to crocodiles. Observe a large pride of lions or find yourself amidst the grandeur of the migration, whether surrounded by wildebeest or the zebras accompanying them.
The diverse landscape ensures an excellent game viewing experience, offering glimpses of the entire spectrum of wildlife, from elephants and giraffes to zebras and lions. If luck is on your side, you’ll catch glimpses of the elusive leopard and cheetah, as well as an abundance of captivating birdlife. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the Serengeti Heritage Luxury Tented camp or similar.

Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Highlands game drives
After an early breakfast at the camp, we’ll proceed on a full day game drive with a picnic lunch in hand to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We’ll pass through the Olduvai Gorge Historical site along the way. This is a place steeped in history dating back to the dawn of time.
It was at this very site that anthropologist Drs. Luis and Mary Leakey made groundbreaking discoveries, unearthing the skulls of “Nutcracker Man” and “Handy Man”—both pivotal links in the chain of human evolution.
In this area you’ll see elephants, buffaloes, bushbucks, zebras, monkeys, and a plethora of bird species. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the Endoro lodge or similar.

Ngorongoro Crater game drives inside the Crater floor
At 6:00am you’ll have breakfast, collect your picnic lunch, and then descend over 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater floor for an immersive six-hour game viewing experience.
The Ngorongoro Crater boasts a diverse array of wildlife, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw of this park is its dense population of predators, including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopards—which sometimes require a trained eye for spotting.
Our journey will take us to Lake Magadi, a large yet shallow alkaline lake in the park’s southwestern corner, which serves as one of the crater's main features. Here, a significant number of flamingos, hippos, and various water birds can usually be found.

Ngorongoro Highlands trekking at the rim of crater
After an early breakfast we’ll drive a few minutes to the Crater Junction, which is the starting point at the northern rim of Ngorongoro. You’ll then start a guided walk through the acacia forest, where you’ll be accompanied by an armed ranger and a Maasai warrior.
We’ll trek 3-4 hours and cover approximately three kilometers through the forest along the crater rim. This route provides opportunities to see giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, bushbucks, and other diverse species.
We’ll pause for a picnic lunch at Ongositk Osombat and then drive back to Arusha.
