2 travelers on Start dateArusha to Serengeti National Park
You will be picked up from your accommodation in Arusha and head toward the Serengeti National Park via the beautiful high-lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see.
We head to the Central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. It features the Seronera River which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. We arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Dinner and overnight will be at Osero Serengeti tented camp.

Serengeti National Park
Today after breakfast, we do an early morning game drive in this wonderful park, rising early to make the most of our time. Our guide will choose the best spotting locations for the possibility of watching a big pride of lions and being in the middle of the migration, sometimes surrounded by wildebeest and zebra, as well as hippo pools. We journey from the wide-open plains to the kopjes. These volcanic rocky outcrops provide protection and shelter for a wide variety of animals. From the top, we can look out across the vast grasslands. In the afternoon, enjoy your packed lunch at the picnic site and proceed with a game drive until the evening. We then drive back to the same accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Crater
We will have an early departure from camp to ensure that we arrive at the Ngorongoro Crater promptly. We will descend into the crater with a picnic lunch for our game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is an immense, unbroken caldera that was formed when a volcano erupted millions of years ago. The elevated structure encourages the animals to stay within the crater, which means there is a high possibility of spotting every member of the "Big 5". This powerful group comprises buffaloes, lions, rhinos, elephants, and leopards.
You can also expect to see other wildlife including zebras, hippos, wildebeests and hyenas. The flamingos will lounge gracefully on the banks of the Soda Lake whilst the vultures can be found scavenging for the discarded prey of a predator. Geese and storks are among some of the other bird species. Your trip will come to an end in the late afternoon when we will head to mto wa mbu for dinner and overnight at Jangwa River view Lodge.

Tarangire to Arusha
After breakfast, we head to Tarangire National Park. The park has the highest density of elephants in Northern Tanzania and you can view these animals all year round. The herds can often reach an impressive number of 300 animals. The Tarangire River has water all through the year, and during the dry season between July and October, many animals from the surrounding areas come to the river to drink. You will witness an unforgettable natural wonder as you can observe wonderful creatures such as lions, giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests and zebras, as well as various types of antelopes and gazelles in the dry season. With a little luck, you may also spot a python.
During the dry season, it is also a haven for bird watchers with over 550 different species including the Masai ostrich, the world's largest bird. Around lunchtime, you will stop at a suitable picnic place before the afternoon is dedicated to more wildlife watching. Before sunset, you will be taken back to Arusha at your hotel.
