Upon arrival, you will meet our representative who will assist you to check in for your domestic flight to Kihihi/Bwindi. The flights depart from Entebbe at 07h00 and 12h45 (check-in time is one hour in advance). Please note that flight schedules are subject to change.
On arrival at the Kihihi airstrip, meet your guide for a briefing and have a refreshment. Afterward, start a scenic drive to Buhoma. Arrive at your lodge and have lunch. In the evening, go on a village walk and visit the local schools, hospitals, and craft shops.

Gorilla Trekking
After breakfast, you will proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing. You will then be allocated a gorilla group to visit. You will be led by the park ranger into the forest where you will meet these gentle giants. On your way during the trekking, you will encounter different flora and fauna. Once you meet the gorilla family, you are allowed a 1-hour stay with the group. It is a once-in-a-lifetime memorable moment as you look into the brown eyes of these great apes.
In the afternoon after lunch, you may opt for a community village walk to discover the unique way of living of the Batwa community people. They originally used to live in the forests before the area was reserved as a national park.

Walk to the waterfalls – Afternoon Batwa experience
Today, you have an option to go for a second Gorilla experience. This would be on payment of supplement (USD 700 per person).
Alternatively, go for a morning Forest walk to the waterfalls (included in the package). This is a perfect way to experience the depth of impenetrable forest. The sounds of the forest and the gentle cover of morning mist makes your walk enchanting. Along the way you will see plenty of flora and fauna, black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, lots of colorful butterflies, orchids, tree ferns, epiphytic ferns.
In the afternoon, visit the Pygmy/Batwa community. This is cultural tourism activity at its best. It’s a hands-on, mind-opening adventure you will never forget as you go for an incredible hike in the rain forest with the elderly Batwa (pygmy) guides.
The Batwa are a very special and unique group of people, Just like the well-known ‘hunters and gatherers’, the Batwa gathered plants and fruits for food, hunted any animals within their reach.

Fly to Entebbe – Connect to International Flight
After an early breakfast, transfer to the Kihihi airstrip in time for your morning domestic flight. The flight arrives at Entebbe Airport prior to midday.
