In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel in Moshi and drive to Tarangire National Park. The park is known for its huge baobab trees and large herds of elephants. Its sparse vegetation makes it a beautiful and special location, where up to 300 elephants can be found looking for underground streams in the dry riverbeds. Migratory wildebeest, zebra and buffalo can also be seen crowding the shrinking lagoons. This African national park is also home to 3 rare species of animals; the greater kudu, the fringed-eared oryx, as well as ashy starlings. You will enjoy an afternoon game drive with a picnic lunch.

Ngorongoro Crater
Today you’ll rise early in the morning after breakfast. Descend the 600m-high walls to the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater and get up close to one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders. It is home to approximately 30,000 animals, including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhinos. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Crater supports a vast variety of animals which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephant.
Another big drawcard to this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators which include lion, hyena, jackal, cheetah, and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater and late in the afternoon, you will drive up the crater rim to your campsite for a shower, dinner, and overnight.
