Day 1

Moshi - Ngorongoro Crater

Moshi - Ngorongoro Crater

In the morning, you will drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. After registration, you will descend to the crater floor and get up close to one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders! Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is considered one of the most beautiful and unique places in Africa. You will do a full day of game drives on the crater floor. Later, have a picnic lunch at the Hippo Pool picnic site. After lunch, you will continue with the game drive in search of rhinos, elephants, lions, buffaloes, zebras, impalas, and gerenuks, to name just a few.

The Ngorongoro Crater is also famous for its birdlife. At Lake Magadi, in the middle of the crater floor, you can see flamingos, pelicans, Egyptian geese, and many more aquatic species. In the late afternoon, you will drive up the crater rim for a shower, dinner, and overnight.

Day 2

Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will depart for the most famous and the first national park to be gazetted in Tanzania - the Serengeti National Park. Inside the Serengeti, you can expect to see lots of animals all year round, but it is the migration herds that amaze many travelers. Resident animals include buffaloes, elephants, cheetahs, lions, baboons, zebras, and many bird species. Enjoy an awesome game drive and in the evening before dinner is served, you will enjoy awesome views of the sunset. Enjoy a hot shower before you get ready for dinner.

Day 3

Serengeti National Park - Moshi

Serengeti National Park - Moshi

This morning, after enjoying a beautiful Serengeti sunrise, we check out from the campsite. We exit the Serengeti, crossing the Ngorongoro Conservation Area on our way. During the game drive, you’ll catch a glimpse of lions and other predators on their morning hunt.

You have the option to visit Olduvai Gorge where human fossils were discovered by the Leakey family, suggesting that mankind started in Africa. We then exit the Ngorongoro gate toward Moshi where you will prepare for your flight back home or your journey to Zanzibar.

You can also choose to go on the optional one-hour balloon ride over the Serengeti.
