Day 1

Moshi - Ngorongoro Crater

Moshi - Ngorongoro Crater

In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel and driven to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. After registration, you will descend to the crater floor and get up close to one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders! Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is considered one of the most beautiful and unique places in Africa. You will do a full day of game drives on the floor and have a picnic lunch at the Hippo Pool picnic site.

After lunch, you will continue with game drives in the crater in search of rhinos, elephants, lions, buffaloes, zebras, impalas, and gerenuks, to name a few. The Ngorongoro Crater is also famous for its birdlife. In the middle of the crater floor, at Lake Magadi, you can see flamingos, pelicans, Egyptian geese, and many more aquatic species. Later in the afternoon, you will drive up the crater rim for a shower, dinner, and overnight.

Day 2

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will depart for the most famous and the first national park to be gazetted in Tanzania, the Serengeti National Park. On your way, you have the option to visit Olduvai Gorge. This is the place where human fossils were discovered by the Leakey family, suggesting that mankind started in Africa.

Inside the Serengeti, you can expect to see lots of animals all year round, but it is the migration herds that amaze many travelers. Resident animals include buffaloes, elephants, cheetahs, lions, baboons, zebras and many bird species. Enjoy an awesome game drive. In the evening, before dinner is served, you will enjoy awesome views of the sunset, have a hot shower, and prepare for dinner.

Day 3

Wake up for a full day of game drives on the Serengeti plains with a picnic lunch at one of the designated sites. Otherwise, you can also choose to do an early morning game drive, return to the camp for breakfast, and then relax until the afternoon. You can then go for a sunset game drive on the plains. Return to your campsite inside the park for your overnight stay.

Day 4

Serengeti National Park - Moshi

Serengeti National Park - Moshi

This morning, enjoy a beautiful Serengeti sunrise. Check out from the campsite and exit the Serengeti, crossing the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On your way, you’ll catch a glimpse of lions and other predators on their morning hunt. Proceed to Moshi where you will be dropped off to prepare for your journey back home or onward to Zanzibar.

An optional 1-hour balloon ride over the Serengeti is available for booking.
