Day 1

Nairobi - Amboseli National Park

Nairobi - Amboseli National Park

You'll depart Nairobi by road through the scenic Athi Plains and into the bush country of Amboseli National Park, which is famous for its scenery with a backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, huge herds of elephants and is home to the legendary Maasai tribesmen.
You will arrive at your lodge/camp in time for lunch. After lunch, you will have a few hours at leisure before proceeding for an evening game drive which offers you the chance to see these proud giants up close and the chance to spot many other species of animals and birds. The park is best known for its abundance of elephants, popular residents like the well-known predators, and their opponents like zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, and hippos.
Your meals and overnight stay will be at Sentrim Amboseli Lodge.

Pre-breakfast and afternoon game drives (or the choice of a full-day game drive with picnic lunches), allow you the chance to enjoy the interaction of wild animals in the magnificent park-like settings of Amboseli. You're likely to spot wildebeest, giraffes, gazelles, impalas, zebras, and large herds of elephants. You may also spot lions on the fringes of the marshes as well as a great variety of birdlife.

Day 3

Amboseli National Park - Lake Naivasha

Amboseli National Park - Lake Naivasha

You'll depart Amboseli at 6.00 am with a packed breakfast, and make your way to Lake Naivasha, another of the lakes of Africa's Great Rift Valley. You will drive through the Rift Valley where a spectacular view opens up with the land dropping dramatically from conifer forests to dry and dusty plains way below. Distinctive shapes of extinct volcanoes rise from the floor of the Rift Valley and in the distance is the glint of lake water. Animal life also abounds in this natural oasis, from hippo and buffalo wallowing among the papyrus reeds to giraffes nibbling the acacia, Colobus monkeys leaping from tree to tree and innumerate species of birds adding flashes of color and exotic calls. You will arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. You'll spend a few hours at leisure before proceeding for an evening boat ride. Your meals and overnight stay will be at Lake Naivasha Crescent Camp.

Day 4

Lake Naivasha - Masai Mara National Reserve

Lake Naivasha - Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, you will drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve via the scenically beautiful Great Rift Valley. This enormous reserve is part of the vast Serengeti Plains, famous for its spectacular wildebeest migration, and is home to the Big Five: lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and rhino. You will arrive in time for lunch at your camp and relax before departing for the afternoon game drive. You will drive through the reserve as you enjoy the savannah with vast herds of wildebeests and zebras wandering across the grasslands. You will also have a chance to see other plain game like the Maasai giraffes, elands, buffalos, topi, and both Thomson’s and Grant's gazelles. The enormous landscape of the Mara and its concentration of many varieties of game make it a fitting climax to your safari. Your meals and overnight stay will be at Sentrim Mara Camp.

After breakfast, you will depart the camp for a full-day game drive. The day will be spent in the reserve driving across the plains in search of the great predators and perhaps even their cubs. On the plains, you will come across enormous herds of grazing animals plus the elusive cheetah and leopards hiding amidst acacia boughs. The reserve hosts the highest concentration of wild animals than any other park in the region. You will transverse the reserve on unlimited wildlife viewing drives in search of the Big Five and of other games with picnic lunches served at the reserve. Your meals and overnight stay will be at Sentrim Mara Camp.
