Our guide will pick you up from your hotel around 8:00am and will brief you before the tour. You will then depart for Kibale National Park, which is approximately a five-and-a-half-hour drive. After lunch, you will be taken for a walk at Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. This guided swamp walk offers the opportunity to see primates, such as monkeys, birds, and butterflies. The wetland is home to around 138 bird species, with the great blue turaco being a notable resident. The walk lasts two-and-a-half to three hours and is perfect for bird enthusiasts. You may encounter the elusive sitatunga antelope and the shoebill stork with any luck. The sanctuary also provides the chance to encounter various primate species, including chimpanzees, black-and-white colobus monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys, red-tailed monkeys, L'Hoest's monkeys, blue monkeys, and olive baboons. In addition, bushbucks, mongooses, and other wildlife can be spotted. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Kibale Forest Lodge.

Chimpanzee Tracking Experience
Kibale National Park is renowned for having the highest number of primate species in the world, including chimpanzees. There are approximately 5,000 chimpanzees living in the wild in Uganda, making it an ideal place to observe them! The park is known for its diverse primate population, such as colobus monkeys, red-cheeked monkeys, and red-tailed monkeys. During chimpanzee treks, you can often see these primates swinging in the forest trees and feeding on wild fruits. An experienced ranger will lead you on a chimp-tracking expedition in the morning at around 8:30am. Once you locate the chimpanzees, you will have a full hour to observe and enjoy their presence. Afterward, you will return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
We start the day early, have breakfast, and bid farewell to the 'Land of the Great Apes' with unforgettable memories of our time spent with the fascinating chimpanzees. On your way back to Entebbe, enjoy lunch and a drive through Lake Mburo National Park, where you can spot zebras, Uganda kobs, and other wildlife. You will arrive in Entebbe late evening to catch your flight back home.
