Kigali

Arrive by an air transfer to Kigali International Airport. Meet and greet assistance (visa).
You will take a PCR test to enable you to trek gorillas in Bwindi. You will be handed over to and warmly welcomed by our Makario Safaris representative outside the customs and immigration hall. You will then be transferred to your city hotel for check-in.
Dinner and overnight stay.

Kigali - Cyanika - Bwindi; City tour of Kigali

You will have breakfast at the hotel and then check out.
Start your guided city tour of Kigali that will include the Kigali Genocide memorial & the Rwanda History Museum.
Have an early lunch at Khana Kazana restaurant.

14h00: Have a leisurely drive to the Cyanika border (Rwanda and Uganda). We will stop for a coffee break in Musanze. 17h30: Arrive in time for customs and immigration procedures. Once through, continue driving for an hour to the Bwindi National Park area.
Arrive and check in assistance. Dinner and overnight stay.

Bwindi; Gorilla Trek

06h30: After an early breakfast and briefing from the park guides, set off for the mountains gorilla tracking inside the forest with rangers and porters at 08h00. You will need to carry drinking water, a rain jacket, and jungle boots while the rangers will provide you with a walking stick. Gorilla tracking is one of the unique activities you will enjoy while photographing and observing the gorillas.

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park’s 331 sq. km of montane and lowland forest jungle lies in southwestern Uganda, 540 km from Kampala. A UNESCO World Heritage Site and accessible only on foot, it is one of the richest ecosystems in Africa providing a habitat for many endangered species. Bwindi is however most notable for her 340 Mountain Gorillas, about half the world's population of this critically endangered primate.
After tracking, come back to the lodge for late lunch. Freshen up and relax. Dinner and overnight stay.

Bwindi - Cyanika - Kigali; Departure

Early breakfast at the lodge and check out. Settle all extras.
Drive to Cyanika border post. Customs and immigration procedures then set off for Kigali.
Arrive and have lunch at the Sole luna Restaurant. Later, transfer to Kigali International airport. Arrive and bid farewell to your driver guide. Proceed to check in for your outbound air transfer.
