Your driver guide will pick you up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam or the airport and start driving to Mikumi National Park which is approximately 5 to 6 hours drive. You will have a short stop in Morogoro for a hot lunch. After lunch, you will proceed to Mikumi National Park. You will arrive for an afternoon game drive until sunset.
Animals commonly found in this park include lions, elands, hartebeests, buffalos, wildebeests, giraffes, zebras, elephants, and many more. Wild dogs can be seen in packs here as well as the open horizons and abundant wildlife of the Mkata Floodplain. Over 300 species of birds have been observed in this park.

Full-Day Game Drive in Mikumi National Park then Drive to Morogoro Town
After an early breakfast, you will go for a full-day game drive in Mikumi National Park with parked lunch boxes or the option of having a hot lunch in the lodge. You will continue with the game drive until 3:30 p.m. then drive to Morogoro Arc Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Morogoro Arc Hotel is located with a nice view of the Uluguru Mountains.
Morogoro to Nyerere National Park for Boat Safari
After an early breakfast, you will start your journey to Nyerere National Park. The journey is truly wild and in the untouched area of Tanzania.
The drive will take you up into the Uluguru Mountains across rivers and pass through small local villages and farms. The drive is tiring but possibly the most rewarding and adventurous on the southern circuit. You will arrive in Nyerere National Park for an afternoon boat safari. Boat safari brings you into close contact with hippos, crocodiles, and fantastic bird life. Crocodiles glide into the water as your boat approaches and hippos appear in frightening proximity, grunting and blowing steam.

Full-day Game Drive in Nyerere National Park
You will have a full-day game drive in Nyerere National Park exploring the park in a 4WD vehicle will permit you to have good photographic opportunities and the chance to explore different sections of the vast park. Nyerere National Park now the largest national park in Africa, is a newly established park that is part of what is known as Selous Game Reserve. The park was established in year 2019 by the late President of Tanzania Dr. John Joseph Pombe Magufuli and covers an area of over 30,200 square kilometers. Nyerere National Park is famous for its elephants, commonly animals seen are lions, wild dogs, buffalo, bushbuck, impalas, elands, baboons, zebra, wildebeest, and greater kudu.

Walking Safari then Drive to Dar es Salaam
You will wake up early in the morning and have a cup of coffee or tea, then go out for a wilderness walking safari with the guidance of an armed ranger. The walking safari will take about two to two and a half hours.
Walking safari will give you a particularly intimate feel for the African wild. You will get the chance to touch nature and see the different footprints and droppings of different wild animals and small creatures that you can’t see during the game drive. After breakfast, you will start driving to Dar es Salaam.
On arrival in Dar es Salaam, your driver will drop you off at a place of your choice.
