Day 2

Drive to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Drive to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After breakfast, you will head to Murchison Falls National Park with a stopover at the Rhino Sanctuary. This 70sqkm sanctuary is home to over 30 white rhinos and its main purpose is to reintroduce rhinos to Uganda. This is a very nice opportunity to observe the rhinos in their habitat at close range while on foot. After this, you will have a lunch stop and thereafter proceed to Murchison Falls National Park.

Day 3

Morning Game Drives and Boat Safari on the Nile River

You will wake up very early and set off at 6:30 am for a morning game drive on the northern bank getting back to the lodge at around 11:00 am. You will be in a position to see; baboons, buffaloes, giraffes, Uganda Kob, hartebeests, oribis, waterbucks, bushbucks, reedbucks, warthogs, and side-stripped jackals. Carnivores like; lions, leopards, and spotted hyenas. After lunch, you will get to the jet for an afternoon boat cruise on the River Nile where we expect to see several hippos and crocodiles along the banks of the Nile. You will also see birds like; goliath heron, Egyptian geese, pelicans, bee-eaters, kingfishers, hornbills, cormorants, saddle-bill stork, and the shoe bill stork if lucky. After 2 hours, you will be dropped off at the bottom of the magnificent Murchison Falls. From there, you will hike up to the top of the falls where you will meet your driver-guide. Thereafter, you will drive back to the lodge.

Day 4

Drive to Kibale Forest National Park

After an early breakfast, you will depart Murchison Falls proceeding to Kibale Forest National Park. We always regard this route as a full-day drive depending on the condition of the road. You may get to Kibale at around 4:00 pm. This gives a chance to those who would like to go for a community walk to visit the crater lakes region with spectacular views of the lakes.

You will wake up early for breakfast. Thereafter, you will proceed to the park headquarters in Kibale Forest National Park. After a short briefing by one of the park staff, you will be allocated a guide who will lead you into the forest to find the chimpanzees. This park is the only place in East Africa where one can have the best primate tracking viewing the chimpanzee —man’s closest relative.

After breakfast, you will set off for Queen Elizabeth National Park. After lunch, you will proceed to the jetty taking the boat for a ride on the Kazinga Channel that connects Lakes Edward & George. Edward and George. We expect to see many animals along the bank and a variety of water birds.

You will wake up very early and set off at 6:30 am for a morning game drive to catch sight of the early risers in their natural habitat. You can expect to see the Big 4; elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards and bushbucks, kobs, giant forest hogs, hyenas, waterbucks, and many birds. After this, you will then connect Bwindi through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will be on the lookout for the tree-climbing lions.

This day is always regarded as the biggest of all days on the safari. Soon, after breakfast, you'll head out to the park headquarters where you will be briefed by one of the park staff. Thereafter, you will meet me with the lead guide who will take you into the forest to find the gorilla family that you will be allocated to. This may take between 2-7 hours round trip depending on how long the family you are trekking will have moved today from where it was last seen yesterday. After the trek, you will then proceed to Lake Bunyonyi Kabale.

After a hearty breakfast overlooking the serene waters of Lake Bunyonyi, you will bid farewell to this picturesque destination and embark on a journey to Lake Mburo National Park. As you make your way to Lake Mburo National Park, you will stop for a delicious lunch in Mbarara, allowing you to refuel and enjoy some local cuisine.

Upon arrival at Lake Mburo National Park, you will proceed directly to your accommodation to check in and freshen up. Then, you will set out for an exhilarating game drive in the park, during which you will have the opportunity to encounter a variety of wildlife species in their natural habitat.

Keep your eyes peeled for zebras, impalas, kobs, buffaloes, giraffes, warthogs, and an array of bird species as you explore the park's diverse ecosystems.

After breakfast, you will embark on the journey back to Kampala/Entebbe, your final destination. The road will take you through scenic countryside, with opportunities to admire the rural landscapes and local communities along the way.

You will make a stop in Masaka for a delightful lunch, allowing you to refuel and enjoy some local cuisine before continuing your journey.

Your next stop will be at the equator, where you will have the opportunity to capture memorable photos of this iconic landmark. You can also indulge in some souvenir shopping, browsing the stalls for unique mementos to take home with you.
