Upon your arrival at Maun International Airport, a Kubwa Five Safaris representative will pick you up and drive you to the Okavango Delta. The journey takes approximately four hours and 40 minutes. Upon reaching the Okavango Delta, you will embark on an evening game drive.

The Okavango Delta is a sanctuary for some of the world’s most remarkable and endangered mammals. It offers excellent game viewing opportunities, with chances to spot rare predators such as cheetahs, lions, leopards, and African wild dogs. The delta is also home to endangered black and white rhinoceros, along with thriving populations of zebras, giraffes, antelope species, buffaloes, and elephants.

End the day with dinner and your overnight stay at the camp.

After breakfast, you will embark on a morning game drive in the Okavango Delta, where large populations of rare and remarkable wildlife thrive. Keep an eye out for species such as Nile crocodiles, red lechwe, sitatunga, elephants, wild dogs, buffaloes, and the wattled crane, along with an abundance of common mammals and diverse birdlife.

After an exciting morning, return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a mokoro trip—a serene ride in a traditional canoe-like vessel, popular for navigating the delta’s tranquil waterways.

Today you'll start with a morning game drive, exploring the abundant wildlife of Moremi Game Reserve. The game viewing here is fantastic year-round, and you can expect encounters with migratory species and endangered wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, and zebras, along with predators like lions and cheetahs.

Afterward, you'll depart Moremi and journey to the Savuti area in Chobe National Park. Situated away from the peak season crowds at the Chobe Riverfront, Savuti is famous for its predator activity, including big cats like lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as well as birds of prey. Even when the Savuti Channel is not flowing, this area offers incredible wildlife viewing. Big bull elephants are a common sight here, along with spotted hyenas whose eerie calls fill the air.

After breakfast, you will head to town for some shopping and enjoy lunch before being transferred to Livingstone Airport for your scheduled flight to Entebbe International Airport, Uganda. Upon arrival in Uganda, a Kubwa Five Safaris representative will be waiting for you at the airport, holding a sign with your name on A4 paper. You will then be transferred to a guest house in Entebbe for your overnight stay.

After a rhino tracking activity, you'll head to Murchison Falls National Park. Your first stop will be at the top of the falls, where you’ll experience the power of the rushing whitewater as it forces its way through a narrow crevice, creating a dramatic spectacle. The resulting mist from the turbulence often produces rainbows.

Following this thrilling experience, you will embark on an evening game drive before retiring to your lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

If you opt to go on the balloon safari, it will take place in the morning before breakfast at an additional cost of $350 USD per person. We highly recommend booking in advance, as spots are limited, and this exclusive adventure often sells out. The experience starts early, at 6:00am, followed by a morning game drive with opportunities for bird watching and sightseeing across the open savannah. Afterward, you’ll return to your lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon, enjoy a three-hour boat cruise on the Nile, which offers stunning views of the falls from below. Along the riverbanks, you can spot hippos, crocodiles, antelopes, and various aquatic birds.

In the evening, you’ll embark on another game drive before heading back to your lodge.

Day 9

Murchison Falls National Park - Kibale National Park

Murchison Falls National Park - Kibale National Park

After breakfast, you will depart from Murchison Falls National Park, traveling southwest through the Albertine Escarpment of the great Western Rift Valley. The scenic drive will take you through Hoima and Kyejonjo districts, eventually reaching the town of Fort Portal, the capital of the Tooro Kingdom, nestled at the base of the Rwenzori Mountains and often called the "Mountains of the Moon." You can either stop for lunch along the way or at Kyaninga Lodge, depending on the time.

Upon arrival in Kibale, you'll visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a community walk and cultural interaction. This fascinating swamp is known for its rich biodiversity, including several species of primates like the red colobus monkey, baboon, black and white colobus monkey, blue monkey, grey-cheeked mangabey, vervet monkey, red-tailed monkey, and L'Hoest's monkey. It's also home to mammals such as sitatunga, mongooses, bush pigs, otters, and bushbucks. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Today you’ll embark on an early morning chimpanzee tracking adventure in Kibale National Park. The trek typically lasts about two to three hours, depending on the location of the chimpanzees. After breakfast, you'll visit the Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru Caves and the three surrounding crater lakes. This makes for an interesting day adventure and can be done while staying in Fort Portal.

Following your cave visit, you will head to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you'll enjoy a scenic boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George.

After the boat ride, you’ll head out on an evening game drive in the park. Evening is a prime time for wildlife viewing as lions often hunt during the cooler temperatures. Keep an eye out for Uganda Kobs, elephants, buffalo, warthogs, leopards, and waterbucks as you explore the park's diverse landscapes.

Today, you will explore the Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth, which renowned for its resident tree-climbing lions—an exceptional highlight of any safari experience. In this southern section of the park, the lions are spotted hanging on branches of huge fig trees.

After your game drives in Ishasha, you'll journey to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to the famous mountain gorillas. This lush, biodiverse forest covers an area of 331 square kilometers and is rich in wildlife, boasting over 346 bird species, 120 mammal species, and 400 plant species, along with various other fascinating flora and fauna.

Upon arrival in Bwindi, you’ll embark on a community walk where you’ll visit the Batwa, an indigenous group of people who have lived in the forest for over 500,000 years. This immersive experience allows you to enjoy traditional dances and drama performances that showcase the Batwa culture and their deep connection to the forest.

After breakfast, head out to the park head offices with your guide for a briefing on the do's and don'ts while with the gorillas. Following this, embark on a gorilla trekking adventure through the misty rainforest. The trek can take anywhere from 2-6 hours, depending on the location of the gentle giants. Be sure to carry enough water, wear sturdy shoes, and bring a non-flash camera and rain jacket.

At the end of this long and exciting adventure, return to your lodge for a refreshing shower and enjoy lunch. Take some time to relax before checking out in the evening for a transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. This picturesque water body is dotted with 29 islands of various shapes and sizes. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the resort.

After breakfast, you can relax at your hotel until lunchtime. Lake Bunyonyi, framed by lush, green-terraced hills rising between 2,200 and 2,478 meters, is likely the second deepest lake in Africa and one of the few African lakes completely safe for swimming, as there is no bilharzia.

After lunch, head out for zip lining, an exhilarating activity that takes place over the lake, offering stunning views. You'll also have the opportunity to stretch your muscles on a ninja warrior course. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the resort.

You’ll have lunch on your way to Kampala. Upon reaching the city, you’ll be transferred to Entebbe Airport for your flight back home.

Please note that this trip accepts children aged two years and above. However, only children aged 15 years and older can participate in gorilla and chimpanzee trekking. For children aged 14 years and below, they can engage in other activities while you go trekking, and each child will receive a discount of $900 off the trip price.
