Day 1

Kigali - Iby'iwacu Cultural Village

Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be picked up and taken for a Covid-19 test ($60USD per person). Afterward, you'll head out for a city tour, starting with a visit to the Genocide Memorial Site, which provides a glimpse into the country's history. Lunch will be served en route. Afterward, you will visit the Iby’iwacu Cultural Village, a non-profit organization aimed at improving the lives of reformed poachers and the communities surrounding Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park. Here, you will enjoy Rwandan culture, including traditional dance performances. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the camp.

Day 2

After breakfast, you will gather at the park headquarters for a morning briefing, equipped with your trekking gear and drinking water, before ascending into the forest for a gorilla trekking experience. Volcanoes National Park is renowned for its exceptional primate safaris, where visitors can observe a variety of primate species.

The park is home to twelve fully habituated gorilla families, with a few others reserved for scientific research. Each family typically includes at least one silverback, several females, and younger members. The families are known as Susa, Igisha, Karisimbi, Sabyinyo, Amahoro, Agashya, Kwitonda, Umubano, Hirwa, Bwenge, Ugyenda, and Muhoza.

After the gorilla trek, you will visit the Dian Fossey Center. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the camp.

Day 3

After an early breakfast, you will drive to Kigali Airport for your scheduled flight to either Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport in Tanzania. Upon arrival, a Kubwa Five Safaris representative will meet you at the airport, holding a sign with your name on it for easy identification.

From the airport, you will be driven to Serengeti National Park, arriving at your hotel in the afternoon. Once settled in, you will embark on an evening game drive to explore the wildlife.

Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the camp.

Our guides will select the best spots for the season. You might spend time at the Hippo Pool (where these massive animals relax alongside crocodiles), observe a large pride of lions, and encounter many other species.

Serengeti National Park, meaning "endless plains" in the Maasai language, is one of the world’s most renowned wilderness areas. It's a constant source of inspiration for writers, filmmakers, and photographers. The park is also famous for its role in the annual Great Migration, during which around three million antelope, primarily wildebeest, migrate to Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Reserve.

After breakfast, you will head towards Tarangire National Park for a game drive and picnic lunch. Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant population and its migratory cycle, which features thousands of elephants, wildebeest, and zebras.

The park gets its name from the Tarangire River, which flows through it. Tarangire is particularly spectacular during the dry season (June to November) when wildlife concentrations rival those of the Serengeti. Large populations of elephants and other animals are drawn to the Tarangire River, their only water source. With its diverse habitats and permanent water supply, Tarangire is home to over 2,000 elephants and 500 bird species.
