On your arrival in Rwanda, you will be welcomed and picked by our Kubwa Five Safaris guide who will be holding an A4 paper with your name printed on at Kigali International Airport, you will be picked and be transferred to your hotel where you will check in and do some relaxation.

Day 2

After breakfast, we go on a city tour visiting the Genocide memorial site which gives a brief history of Rwanda.
After the city tour, you will be driven to Akagera National Park. You will check in at your lodge and have some lunch.
After lunch, you will go for a boat cruise on Lake Ihema to watch Hippos and crocodiles in the water or by the shores.
Later in the evening, you will go for an evening game drive. Akagera National Park hosts a number of big mammals with the most sought after being Lions, Buffaloes, Giraffes, Zebras, Elephants, and Hippos, which will provide for great photographic moments.
The park has in the recent past made great strides in conservation by engaging the community through community tours. With the re-introduction of Lions, you have numbers of the Big five increasing by the day.

We arise early and leave right after breakfast for a game drive in Akagera National Park. We will be searching for big mammals like Elephants, Giraffes, Buffaloes, several Antelope species, and recently the re-introduced Lions and Rhinos.
The park is a varied habitat for wildlife and a birders haven with over 500 bird species in the park.
At around mid-day, we drive back to Kigali. You will have lunch on your way to Kigali.

Day 4

After breakfast, drive northwards to Volcanoes National Park. On your way, you will visit the Dian Fossey Center in Musanze then you head to the park.
In the evening you will visit the Iby’iwacu Cultural Village for community interaction to enjoy the Rwandan culture including the traditional dance.

After breakfast, you will assemble at the park headquarters for a briefing in the morning together with your trekking gear and drinking water and ascend in the forest to track the golden monkeys. While participating in golden money trekking you will get to find out interesting facts about golden money that will make your Rwanda tour interesting.
After lunch you will drive to a scenic Lake Kivu bordering Rwanda and DR Congo. After reaching the lake you will enjoy an evening boat cruise.

Day 6

This morning after breakfast you will do either the Kayaking or boat ride on Lake Kivu and drive to Nyungwe National Park which takes about 2 ½ hrs drive.
You will have lunch on the way and thereafter continue to Nyungwe National Park arriving for the canopy walk which sets 50 meters above the ground with a 150-meter walkway and is the first of its kind in East Africa and third on the continent after South Africa and Ghana.
It allows visitors to see the forest from above the trees and be at eye level with birds and monkeys that inhabit the upper storeys of the forest.

After an early breakfast, with a packed lunch drive to the park headquarters for a briefing about the Do's and Don'ts of chimpanzee trekking then after, you embark on your trek.
Two species of chimpanzee occur in Africa. There is the Bonobo and the Common Chimpanzee Pan troglodytes (often shortened to Chimpanzee, and sometimes referred to as the Robust Chimpanzee).
The largest remaining populations occur in central Africa (Gabon, DR Congo and Cameroon). About only 400 individuals, the population in Rwanda is an endangered one. Nyungwe National Park is the largest block of Montane forest in East and Central Africa and it is an incredibly rich area of biodiversity.
After trekking, you will have lunch, and then you will be driven back to Kigali for your scheduled flight back home.
It's a pity that it has to end, we are sure that you will return home with so many exciting and happy memories, and we hope that you will join us again on safari sometime in the future.
