Kigali
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be picked up and taken for a Covid-19 test ($60 per person). You will then be transferred to your hotel to await the test results.
You will travel to Volcanoes National Park the following day. This park is renowned for its variety of primate species.
Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the hotel.

After breakfast, you will drive back to Kigali for a city tour, including a visit to the Genocide Memorial Site, which offers a brief history of Rwanda.
Next, you will drive northwards to Volcanoes National Park. Upon arrival in Musanze, you will visit the Dian Fossey Center.
Lunch will be en route, followed by a visit to a local village to experience Rwandan culture, including traditional dance.

Volcanoes National Park - Lake Kivu
After breakfast, you will assemble at the park headquarters for a briefing and prepare for golden monkey trekking. Equipped with trekking gear and drinking water, you will ascend into the forest to track the golden monkeys.
After lunch, you will drive to the scenic Lake Kivu, which borders Rwanda and the DR Congo. En route, you will take a Covid test for your departure requirements (USD $50 per person). Upon reaching the lake, you can enjoy the rest of your evening by the lakeside.

Lake Kivu - Kigali - Entebbe
After breakfast, you will either go kayaking or take a boat ride on Lake Kivu. Afterwards, you will drive back to Kigali for your departure flight to Uganda. Upon arrival in Uganda, our Kubwa Five Safaris representative will greet you at Entebbe Airport, holding a sign with your name on it.

Entebbe - Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary - Murchison Falls National Park
On your way to Murchison Falls National Park, you will visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for an unforgettable rhino tracking experience, which is one of Uganda's most exciting activities.
After rhino tracking, you'll continue to Murchison Falls National Park, with your first stop being the “Top of the Falls.” Here, you will witness the impressive sight of the Nile's powerful waters squeezing through a narrow gorge, creating mist and often rainbows.

Murchison Falls National Park
Embark on an early morning game drive on the northern bank, where your guide will help you spot a variety of animals and birds. You’ll then return to the lodge for lunch and rest until 2:00pm, when you will take an afternoon boat ride. You will cruise upstream on the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls. You’ll see see hippos, crocodiles, elephants, waterbucks, and Uganda kobs over the 17-kilometer stretch, as well as numerous bird species.
After the boat ride, enjoy an evening game drive. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Murchison Falls National Park - Kibale National Park
After breakfast, you will travel from Murchison Falls National Park, driving southwest through the Albertine escarpment of the great western Rift Valley. Pass through the Hoima and Kyejonjo districts to reach the colorful town of Fort Portal, which is nestled in the shadow of the fabled "Mountains of the Moon," the Rwenzori.
Arrive at Kyaninga Lodge in time for lunch. The lodge is perched atop the Kyaninga Crater Lake. In the afternoon, take a guided walk around the rim of the crater lake or explore the surrounding forest and local villages for a fascinating insight into rural Ugandan life. You can also visit the Great Rift Valley escarpment for more breathtaking views.

Kibale National Park - Semuliki National Park
The tracking today will begin early and usually lasts two to three hours, depending on the chimpanzees’ location.
After the trek, you'll return to the resort for lunch before proceeding to Sempaya Hot Springs, the park's main attraction and the highlight of our safari. Here, you'll witness water naturally boiling, showcasing its incredible power and heat. The springs are so hot that you can cook eggs and matooke within minutes.

Semuliki National Park - Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru Caves - Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, you'll visit the Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru Caves and the three surrounding Crater Lakes. Exploring the caves and hiking around the nearby lakes will be a highlight of the day.
Next, you'll head to Queen Elizabeth National Park, a vast sanctuary where wildlife and local communities peacefully coexist. Upon arrival, you'll check in at your hotel for lunch and then go on a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, which links Lake Edward and Lake George. This cruise offers some of the best wildlife viewing opportunities in the park. Along the channel, you'll spot squacco herons, pied kingfishers, numerous buffalo and hippopotamus, sunbathing crocodiles, and a variety of other bird species and large mammals.

Queen Elizabeth National Park - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the Ishasha sector to encounter the famed tree-climbing lions of the Kasenyi Plains in the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon arrival in Ishasha, your priority will be to search for these lions amidst the trees. While the lions rest above, the plains below are home to Uganda Kob, their primary prey.
Following a game drive in Ishasha, it will be time to journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home of the famous mountain gorillas. Check in at your lodge for lunch and prepare for another unforgettable highlight of your trip: tracking the majestic mountain gorillas.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast, head to the park headquarters with your guide for a briefing on the do's and don'ts of gorilla tracking.
Following the briefing, embark on the gorilla trek through the misty rainforest, which can last anywhere from 2-6 hours depending on the location of the gentle giants. Ensure you have enough water, sturdy shoes, non-flash cameras, and rain jackets for the trek.
After this exhilarating adventure, return to the lodge for a well-deserved shower. Then, enjoy a leisurely lunch and some relaxation time. In the evening, check out and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, a breathtaking water body adorned with 29 islands of various shapes and sizes. The lake is surrounded by lush, green-terraced hills that rise to heights ranging from 2,200 to 2,478 meters. It is one of the deepest lakes in Africa.

After breakfast, you can relax at your hotel until lunchtime, after which you will go zip-lining over the lake. You’ll then participate in another activity: the Ninja Warrior course, where you can further stretch your muscles.
Lake Bunyonyi is surrounded by lush, green-terraced hills that rise to heights ranging from 2,200 to 2,478 meters. It is likely the second deepest lake in Africa and one of the few African lakes completely safe for swimming—there is no risk of bilharzia.

Relish the opportunity to observe various water birds with their melodious calls, as well as wildlife such as hippos, African crocodiles, waterbucks, and buffaloes. Following the boat cruise, embark on a breathtaking evening game drive, exploring the park as dusk settles.
After immersing yourself in the true wilderness, return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Start your morning with an early breakfast, followed by a captivating walking safari in Lake Mburo National Park. This experience offers a magical way to explore the park's bush trails on foot.
After the walking safari, you have the option to choose between a bicycle safari or horseback riding in Lake Mburo National Park. The park's diverse habitats, including savannah, woodlands, forests, and swamps, support a wide variety of wildlife and bird species.
Following your chosen activity—either biking or horse riding—return to the lodge for lunch. You’ll then spend the rest of the day at your lodge before being transferred to Entebbe Airport for your scheduled flight back home.
