On arrival in Rwanda, you will be welcomed and picked by our Kubwa Five Safaris guide who will be holding and A4 paper with your name printed on it at Kigali International Airport, and embark on a city tour visiting the Genocide Memorial Site which gives a brief history of Rwanda. You will have lunch on the way.

After lunch, you will visit the community cultural village to enjoy the Rwandan culture including their traditional dance. Iby’iwacu Cultural Village is a non-profit umbrella organization that aims at improving the lives of reformed poachers and communities around Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park through the provision of conservation incentives, supporting community enterprise development and livelihood-based projects.

Dinner and overnight will be at Red Rocks Rwanda.

After breakfast, you will be driven to the Rwanda-Uganda border and then transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. The lake's twisting water body, dotted with 29 islands of various shapes and sizes scattered across the water, will amaze you.

On arrival, you will check into your lodge and rest.

Day 3

After breakfast, you will either relax at your lodge or head out for optional activities like zip lining, kayaking, canoeing and ninja warrior challenge with each activity costing 40 USD per person, payable at the lake.

Lake Bunyonyi is framed by lush, green-terraced hills that reach a height of 2,200 – 2,478m. It is probably the second-deepest lake in Africa. It is one of the few African lakes completely safe for swimming (there is no bilharzia). In the afternoon, you will have lunch at your lodge.

After lunch, you will be driven to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home of the famous mountain gorillas. Check in at your lodge and rest.

Day 4

Gorilla Trekking | Batwa Cultural Interaction

After breakfast, head out to the park head offices with your packed lunches and have a briefing about the do’s and don’ts while in the park with gorillas.

You will head out for gorilla trekking through the misty rain forest. Trekking can take 2 hours or up to 6 hours depending on the location of the gentle giants. Make sure you carry enough water, sturdy shoes, non-flash cameras, and rain jackets.

In the evening, you will head out for a community walk where you will visit the Batwa, which is an indigenous group of people that have lived in the forest for 500,000 years. Enjoy traditional dances and drama from them.

On arrival at your hotel in Kampala, you will check in and rest.
