Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, a representative from Kubwa Five Safaris will meet you and transfer you to undergo a Covid-19 test, which costs US$60 per person. After the test, you will be taken on a city tour, including a visit to the Genocide Memorial site to learn about the country's history.
During the tour, you will have lunch and then visit the community cultural village for a taste of Rwandan culture, including traditional dance. The Iby'iwacu Cultural Village is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of reformed poachers and communities around Rwanda's Volcanoes National Park through conservation incentives and supporting community enterprises and livelihood-based projects.
The day will end with dinner and an overnight stay at Red Rocks Rwanda.

Travel to Uganda | Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast, you will be driven to the Rwanda-Uganda border. From there, you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, a twisting water body dotted with 29 islands of various shapes and sizes scattered across the water, which will amaze you.

Relax | Zip-Lining | Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, you will have some leisure time at your hotel until lunch.
Lake Bunyonyi is surrounded by lush, green-terraced hills ranging in height from 2,200 to 2,478 meters (7,220 to 8,130 feet). It is likely the second deepest lake in Africa and is one of the few African lakes completely safe for swimming, as there is no bilharzia.
Following this, you will enjoy a zip-lining activity. From here, you will return to the lodge, check in, and prepare for the incredible experience of tracking mountain gorillas. You will either have lunch on the way or at the lodge.
After lunch, you will be driven to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the home of the famous mountain gorillas.

Gorilla Trekking, Birding | Batwa Cultural Interaction and Community Walk
After having a cup of tea, head to the park headquarters with your guide. There, you will receive a briefing about the do's and don'ts while in the park with gorillas.
After the briefing, embark on a gorilla trek through the misty rainforest. The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, depending on the location of the gentle giants. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park covers an area of 331 square kilometers (130 square miles) and is home to over 346 bird species, 120 mammal species, 400 plant species, 27 frog species, and more.
Be sure to carry enough water, wear sturdy shoes, bring non-flash cameras, and have rain jackets with you. After the trek, return to the lodge for a well-deserved shower and lunch.
In the evening, participate in a community walk to visit the Batwa, an indigenous group that has lived in the forest for 500,000 years. Enjoy the traditional dances and drama they perform.
End the day with dinner and an overnight stay at Ruhija Gorilla Friends Resort Campsite.

Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park | Tree Climbing Lions Tracking in Ishasha Sector
After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the Ishasha Sector to see the tree-climbing lions on the Kasenyi Plains. The Ishasha Sector is well-known for its resident tree-climbing lions, a major attraction and one of the highlights of safaris in Queen Elizabeth National Park. In this southern section of the park, the lions can sometimes be seen lounging on the branches of giant fig trees, while the Uganda kob, their primary prey, graze on the plains of the Ishasha Sector.
Upon arrival in Ishasha, the first objective will be to spot the lions resting in one of the large trees. After a game drive in Ishasha, it will be time to move to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s most popular tourist destination. An evening game drive will provide the opportunity to witness the lions hunting, as they tend to hunt at dusk to take advantage of the cooler temperatures.

Morning Game Drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park | Boat Ride | Relaxation in the Evening
We depart at 6:00am for a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park to observe lions hunting. We also hope to see Uganda kob, elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, leopards, and waterbuck.
In the afternoon, you will arrive, check in to your hotel, and then go for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. Expect to see large numbers of buffaloes, elephants, and hippos.

Travel to Fort Portal | Hiking | Crater Lakes Tour | Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru Caves
After having breakfast at your hotel, you will be driven to Fort Portal, the capital of the Tooro kingdom, located in the foothills of the legendary "Mountains of the Moon," the Rwenzori. Departure from Kampala is at 6:30am. The route offers stunning scenery, passing through tea plantations and the lush green countryside characteristic of much of Uganda. The final hour of the journey will take you through dense forest, where you will hear the sounds of the wild.
You will have the opportunity to walk at the edge of a rare twinned-volcanic crater lake. Kyaninga offers spectacular walks right on your doorstep. You can take a guided walk around the rim of the crater lake to see its majestic beauty or walk down to the lake through the enchanting forest at Kyaninga. After Kyaninga, you can tour the local villages to gain a fascinating insight into rural Ugandan life.
You will have dinner and stay overnight at Isunga Lodge.

Chimpanzee Tracking | Travel to Semliki National Park | Sempaya Hot Springs
Your day will begin with the chimp tracking activity, which starts early and lasts approximately 2 to 3 hours, depending on the chimps' location. Following the trek, you will return to the resort for lunch and then proceed to visit the Bigodi Swamp, a beautiful area within the rainforest teeming with an array of wildlife, including monkeys, birds, and possibly forest elephants. From here, you will then be transported to Semiliki National Park. Upon arrival, you will partake in a nature walk through the park.
Semiliki National Park is home to 53 mammal species, 27 of which are large mammals. Eleven species are exclusive to the park, such as the pygmy antelope and two flying squirrel species. The park also hosts the distinctive water chevrotain, known as the "fanged deer."
You will conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay at Isunga Lodge.

Equator | Transfer to Kampala
After having breakfast, you will be driven to Kampala. There will be a stopover at the Equator in Masaka. You can see where this imaginary line divides our planet into two equal hemispheres. Take some time to grab snacks, souvenirs, and photographs.
