Nairobi-Samburu National Reserve

Upon arrival, you will be met by our guide, who will brief you about your safari. Afterwards, you will travel north to the land of the Samburu, the cousins of the Maasai community. Samburu is famous for its special game which includes the reticulated giraffes, the Beisa oryx, the gerenuks and Grevy zebras among many other animals. The desert climate necessitating the growth of acacia umbrella trees and other tropical desert vegetation makes Samburu one of the most special game parks in the country. A visit to a Samburu village is highly recommended. Once you are in the reserve, you will enjoy an en-route game drive to the lodge, check-in and have lunch at Samburu Simba Lodge. Masai Mara National Reserve

Masai Mara National Reserve

You will have breakfast at the camp, and proceed for a morning game drive in the reserve with lunch boxes ready for a full day. You'll embark on an afternoon game drive in the reserve until sunset. You can visit a Maasai village this afternoon and pay on the ground. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Enkorok Camp.

Masai Mara offers an absolutely unique variety of animals. The reason is that this hilly region is both humid and fertile, and is crossed by the rivers Mara and Talek, full of crocodiles and hippos. The banks of the rivers are covered in thick forest, which gradually makes way for bush and grassland. The abundance of water and excellent availability of food are the reasons why the Masai Mara, which in fact is a continuance of the Tanzanian Serengeti National Park, has the greatest population of wild animals in the whole of Africa. There is a particularly dramatic “spectacle” from July to November, the annual migration of huge herds of gnus and zebras.
