Upon arrival at Lake Nakuru National Park, you will embark on a game drive as you make your way to your lodge or campsite for check-in and lunch. On the fourth day, you will have an early start with breakfast at your lodge or camp in the Masai Mara National Reserve. After breakfast, you’ll transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Entebbe, Uganda. The early departure maximizes the day, allowing you to transition smoothly between countries.

Upon landing at Entebbe International Airport, you will be greeted by your Ugandan guide, who will assist with your transfer to your accommodation in Entebbe. Depending on the time of arrival, you may have some time in the afternoon to relax or explore. You could visit nearby attractions such as the Entebbe Botanical Gardens or the shores of Lake Victoria, or simply rest and prepare for the upcoming activities in Uganda, including chimpanzee and gorilla trekking.

Today, you will depart early from Entebbe after breakfast, heading towards Kibale Forest National Park, a journey that typically takes around 5-6 hours by road. Upon arrival at Kibale, you will check into your lodge and have lunch. In the afternoon, you will embark on your chimpanzee trekking adventure. Kibale Forest is known as the “Primate Capital of the World” due to its high concentration of primate species, including over 1,500 chimpanzees.

Once you find the chimps, you’ll have an opportunity to observe them in their natural habitat. You’ll witness their social behavior, such as feeding, grooming, and playing, while learning about their habits and the conservation efforts that protect them. The experience is not only exciting but also educational, providing insights into the complex lives of these intelligent primates.

After spending time with the chimps, you will return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay, surrounded by the sounds of the forest.

You’ll begin with an early breakfast at your lodge before heading to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking. Bwindi is home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas, and the trek offers a rare opportunity to observe them in their natural habitat. The trek can range from a few hours to the entire day, depending on the location of the gorilla families.
