Full day Masai Mara

The second day in the Mara will be spent exploring the extensive grasslands on a full-day game drive. You will get both packed lunch and breakfast to picnic in the wild. The Masai Mara National Reserve is renowned for being host to the great wildebeest migration. Millions of wildebeest cross over the Mara River every year from the Serengeti in search of grazing pastures.
As they make their way across the Mara River, some of them are eaten by the hungry crocodiles awaiting them on the river banks (from mid-June till the end of October). The great migration is listed as one of the Wonders of the World and is an experience that you will live to remember. In addition to this, the Masai Mara is home to other animals like waterbucks, baboons, gazelles, monkeys, impalas, Maasai giraffes and over 500 bird species. You will later look for a perfect shade under an acacia tree for your picnic lunch with amazing views of the savannah. We return to the camp at around 5:00 pm.
