Day 1

Nairobi to Olpejeta

Nairobi to Olpejeta

On arrival at JKIA you will drive north through the lush foothills and tea and coffee plantations around the Aberdare Mountains and Mount Kenya to the Olpejeta Conservancy. This day will spend enjoying the views of the countryside. This area is home of the Kikuyu tribe. Lunch at the Sweetwaters Camp.

On safari at Olpejeta Conservancy

This private game reserve is well known for Rhinos and has a Chimpanzee sanctuary supervised by the famous expert on Chimpanzees – Jane GoodHall. Afternoon game drive, all meals and overnight at Sweetwaters Camp. Also a visit to the chimpazee sanctuary. The landscape is a combination of dry forest and relics of riverine forest trees with views of Mt. Kenya and the Aberdares. There are two resident groups of colobus monkeys here.

Day 3

Olpejeta to Samburu

Olpejeta to Samburu

After breakfast depart to samburu National Reserve arriving at Samburu Simba Lodge in time for lunch. Later in the evening you will have game drives till dusk then back to the lodge for dinner & overnight. Samburu National Reserve lies in the Northern part of Kenya. The Ewaso Nyiro became renowned early this century as “big game country”.

Day 4

Elmentaita to Mara

Elmentaita to Mara

You will have a full day at the reserve. Samburu National Reserve is one of the 56 protected areas in Kenya. It is famous North of the equator because of the richness of flora and fauna. It lies on the flood plains and bottom land of ewaso Nyiro drainage system in the Great Rift Valley. Later in the evening back to the lodge for dinner & overnight.

On safari at Samburu

On safari at Samburu

Spend all day on safari in the reserve with morning and afternoon game drives and breakfast, lunch and dinner at the lodge. When it comes to special 5 game-viewing, there is nowhere in Kenya richer than the Samburu. The reserve also has the big 5(lion, elephant, leopard, Buffalo & the rhino).

Samburu to Nairobi

After breakfast at the lodge, drive to Nairobi with a game drive en-route and take lunch at the world famous Carnivore Restaurant, rated among the top 500 restaurants in the world. Depart to JKIA for your flight back home.
