Amboseli National Park
After an early morning breakfast in Nairobi, travel south to Amboseli National Park, which sits against the breathtaking backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Amboseli is in the semi-arid part of the country, and the climate is usually hot and dry. It is fed by an endless underground water supply, filtered through thousands of meters of volcanic rock from Kilimanjaro's ice cap, which funnels into two clear water springs at the heart of the park. Reach your safari camp in time for the included lunch. Take a tour of your safari camp and have an afternoon game drive. One of the most spectacular sites is the large herd of elephants. The Amboseli elephants have perhaps the oldest and most intact social structure of any elephant population in Africa.

Lake Nakuru National Park
Have breakfast and depart the Amboseli Safari Camp heading towards Nakuru by road. Lake Nakuru is one of the "soda lakes" of the Rift Valley, which is home to flamingos. Take an afternoon game drive through the park keeping an eye out for wildlife like zebras, monkeys, rhinos, and elusive black and white varieties. There is a variety of wildlife in Lake Nakuru, but the most popular reason for visiting is the beautiful sight of hundreds of thousands of flamingos. There were around 2 million flamingos at Lake Nakuru at one time, but the numbers have considerably diminished in recent years. Head back to your lodge before sunset and sit for an included dinner.
