Amboseli
After an early breakfast in Nairobi, travel south to Amboseli National Park which sits against the breathtaking backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Amboseli is in the semi-arid part of the country, and the climate is usually hot and dry. It is fed by an endless underground water supply, filtered through thousands of meters of volcanic rock from Kilimanjaro's ice cap which funnels into 2 clear-water springs at the heart of the park. Reach your safari camp in time for lunch.
Enjoy both afternoon and early morning game drives during your 2-day stay at Amboseli. One of the most spectacular sights is the large herds of elephants. The Amboseli elephants have perhaps the oldest and most intact social structure of any elephant population in Africa.
