On arrival at Mfuwe Airport, Zambia, you will be met and transferred to Tafika Camp, situated on the banks of the Luangwa River in South Luangwa National Park. Spend the next three days exploring the Zambia wilderness on your South Luangwa safari. Not only will you explore the bush with game drives but also on walking safaris and even by bicycle! Not to be missed is a visit to the nearby Mkasanga Village.
The Luangwa Valley and especially the Nsefu sector, in which Tafika Camp is located, is known as The Valley of the Leopard because of the high number of leopards found here. You’ll also have the opportunity to see serval, crowned cranes, lion, wild dog, elephant, giraffe, puku, hippo and crocodiles.

Chikoko Trails Camp, South Luangwa National Park
After breakfast, we depart for Chikoko Trails Camp, a few kilometres upstream from Tafika. Chikoko Trails Camp consists of Chikoko Tree Camp and Big Lagoon Camp (you will stay 2 nights at each camp). The next leg of your Zambian adventure is all about getting close to the bush and its inhabitants. Spend your days on morning and afternoon walking safaris, following tracks and quietly exploring this untouched Zambian National Park. Because of its remoteness guests regularly enjoy the spectacular game and bird sightings.
