Day 1

Journey to Samburu – The Road to the North

Journey to Samburu – The Road to the North

Your adventure begins early in the morning. Depart from Nairobi, heading north through the central highlands, where rolling hills and coffee farms stretch as far as the eye can see.

By midday, you arrive at Samburu National Reserve, a land of stark beauty and rich wildlife. Your lodge or luxury tented camp is set along the Ewaso Ng’iro River, where elephants come to drink, and crocodiles bask on the banks.
After a delicious lunch, you embark on your first game drive, winding through the arid savannah in search of the Samburu

Special Five—species rarely found in the rest of Kenya. Reticulated giraffes move gracefully through the acacias, Somali ostriches with their distinctive blue legs sprint across the plains, and the elusive Grevy’s zebras graze in small herds.
As the sun sets, painting the sky in breathtaking hues of orange and gold, you return to your lodge for a warm Samburu welcome.
