Our tour representative will meet you at the airport—you will recognize him holding a board with your name on it. Then, he will take you to your hotel in Arusha Town for check-in before proceeding with the Arusha City Tour, where you will see different places of interest.

Later in the evening, before dinner, we will brief you about the safari experience that begins the following day.

Day 2

Arusha to Lake Natron

After an early breakfast, you will meet our professional tour guide/driver in Arusha Town—you are ready to start your three-day adventure! It takes about 4 hours to drive from Arusha to the famous alkaline Lake Natron. You will pass through scenic landscapes as you travel towards the Oldonyo Lengai Mountain.

You can spend the rest of the day relaxing at the lodge as you prepare to ascend Mount Ol Doinyo Lengai the following day.

Day 3

Ascend to Mount Ol Doinyo Lengai

Your climb will start very early in the morning so that we reach the summit in time to witness the sunrises over the Great Rift Valley. The views are breathtaking! To the north, you will see the salt flats of Lake Natron and, in the distance, the Kenyan border. To the east, you will see Mount Kilimanjaro and the Great Rift Valley, and to the south, the stretches of the Ngorongoro Highlands and Ngorongoro Crater.

With your guide, you will explore the mountain's peak and enjoy a picnic breakfast before descending toward the lodge.

Day 4

Lake Natron to Serengeti National Park

Lake Natron to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will walk out across the baked mud to the shores of the great soda lake, Lake Natron. From here, you can look back at the memorizing view of Ol Doinyo Langai standing tall amongst the rolling hills and flat plains. After that, you will do different activities, including a visit to an authentic Maasai village.

After lunch, you will head to Serengeti National Park, where you will have an evening game drive until sunset. Your dinner and overnight stay are at the Nyani Campsite.

Day 5

Serengeti National Park

At 5:30am, we will have a light breakfast before we leave the camp at 6:00am for a sunrise game drive in the Serengeti National Park. We will return to the camp at 10:00am for a full breakfast.

At 1:00pm, we will enjoy lunch at a picnic site in the park (we cater to meat-eaters and vegetarians). Then, at 2:00pm, we continue the game drive until around 6:00pm. Then, finally, we will head back to the campsite for our dinner and overnight stay.

The Serengeti National Park has endless plains of savannah grassland. It provides a wide feeding area throughout the year for wildebeest, many antelope species, and zebra. The number of animals in this area is a great place to see predators such as cheetahs, lions, hyenas, and other wild cats.

In the Seronera Valley, you will see acacia vegetation across the valley and rocks that appear in groups (known as kopjes), which provide a vantage point for predators. It is also home to reptiles such as lizards and snakes like pythons.

Day 6

Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

At 5:30am, we will have a light breakfast at the camp before we leave at 6:00am for our sunrise game drive. We return to the camp at 10:00am for a full breakfast. At 1:00pm, we will enjoy lunch at the picnic site and accommodate meat-eaters and vegetarians.

At 3:00pm, we exit Serengeti National Park and head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We will have dinner at 6:00pm/6:30pm and overnight at Ngorongoro Simba Campsite.

Today's game drive will be in Central Serengeti, which provides more game viewing compared to the southern part of the area. In addition, central Serengeti will be a great place to spot predators hunting.

After the game drive, we will exit the park and return to our accommodation on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater.

Day 7

Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, we will depart from the campsite with a picnic lunch. Then, we will descend into the amazing Ngorongoro Crater and spend the day looking at the wonders of the crater.

At the crater, there is a high possibility of spotting all Big Five animals (lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and rhinos)—depending on the day).

We will enjoy our picnic lunch in the afternoon and continue with our afternoon game drive until the evening when we exit the park and drive to our accommodation for the night.

Bushwalk with the Hadzabe People

Bushwalk with the Hadzabe People

After breakfast, we will take you to a local village, where you will meet a group of resident Hadzabe people. The local guide will teach you about their way of hunting, tracking wildlife, making fire, and even collecting honey from a beehive. After this learning experience, the guide will take you to his people, introduce you, and tell you about the village's customs and way of life.

Enjoy the Hadzabe tour walking in the bush with the only hunter-gatherers remaining in the East African region. The Hadzabe speak a click-based language and move their camps in line with the seasonal movements of the area's wildlife.

Finally, we will say goodbye to the locals and be on our way to Karatu Safari Camp Lodge for dinner and our overnight stay.

Today is the final day of the 3-day wildlife adventure in the northern parks of Tanzania—ending with our visit to Lake Manyara. After breakfast, we will leave the campsite heading to Lake Manyara National Park. The drive to the park's entrance is about 30 minutes to travel 28km.

After completing the paperwork at the park's entrance, our morning game drive will begin. We will enjoy our lunch at a picnic site before proceeding with the game drive until evening.

Finally, we will exit the park and head to our accommodation in Mto Wa Mbu for dinner and our overnight stay.

Experience local culture from your bike on a 3-hour mountain bike ride through the farming village of Mto Wa Mbu. You will visit local farms, schools, churches, milling machines, and a local bar—enjoy the sights and sounds of this vibrant village!

We will cycle to the lake shore for stunning lake vistas, the Rift Valley Wall, and small herds of wildlife. The ride is on a fairly flat, single track.

Finally, we will take you to Fig Tree Lodge and Camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

We will depart Arusha at 7:30am and head to Tarangire National Park. The drive to the park's entrance takes about 2 to 2.5 hours (120km).

While the guide completes the paperwork at the park's authority offices, you will have time (about 10 minutes) for a comfort break. From here, our morning and afternoon game drive starts—lunch is included. Finally, after the early evening game drive, we will exit the park heading to Karibu Heritage House for our dinner and overnight stay.

Home hosted Experience

Today is your lucky day! After breakfast, your local guide will pick you up from Karibu Heritage House, where you will start today's activities. The first stop will be the local Arucha Market, where you will buy ingredients for creating your Tanzanian dish later that day.

After collecting everything needed, we will take you to one of the families living in Arusha. A warm welcome awaits you, and you will spend the rest of the day learning about their life and participating in different activities with them. You usually cook different African dishes such as cooked banana, pilau, and ugali with Tanzania Salad.

You will complete your class when everything is well cooked and have lunch with the family—enjoying the taste of the food you make with your hands!

Finally, we will say goodbye to the family and return to Karibu Heritage House for dinner and our overnight stay.

Day 13

After an early breakfast, you will depart from Karibu Heritage House and travel towards Materuni Village (about 2 hours drive) at the bottom of Kilimanjaro Mountain.

At the village, you will learn about the traditions and customs of the local Chagga people, especially how they grow and process coffee—produced on a subsistence basis.

Today's activity includes visiting a coffee farm where you will pick coffee beans, process them, and make your own coffee! Then, we will enjoy a picnic lunch before we hike for 45 minutes to the Materuni Waterfalls, which are about 80m higher than the village, to explore nature.

After an early breakfast, we will leave Karibu Heritage House and travel to a local Maasai Village, about 1 hour away. Upon arrival at the village, you will spend much of the day with the Maasai people.

The Maasai people will show you their art, dances, spiritual customs, medical and herbal practices, crafts, and, of course, their hearty and tasty cuisine.

Finally, you will be driven back to Karibu Heritage House later in the late afternoon.
