You will meet up with your driver-guide on arrival at the airport and drive through Kampala to Lake Mburo National Park. Have a stopover at the equator for photography and experiments. You can also stop at Mpambire Local Drums to see how the local men make drums. When you reach the park, have lunch and proceed for an afternoon boat cruise. You can expect to see buffalos, hippos, crocodiles, and waterbird species including the rare African finfoot.
Return to the lodge with an evening game drive through the park at 18h00 with a chance to see a dazzle of zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, impalas, elands, and many more.

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Wake up early for a cup of coffee, and then exit the park and drive to southwestern Uganda. The drive is scenic as you drive through farms, green plantations, and rolling, terraced green gardens up to Bwindi National Park. You will arrive in the evening and check in at the lodge. Relax and prepare for another thrilling experience the following day.

Mountain gorilla trekking and community walk
Have an early breakfast at 06h30 and transfer to the park headquarters with a packed lunch. You will be briefed about your expectations, and the dos and don’ts. At 08h00, you will be led into the forest in the company of the park rangers. Remember to carry your packed lunch and to take enough drinking water. You can also consider taking a walking stick or hiring a porter in case you have a slightly heavy backpack. While trekking, be vigilant to spot other forest inhabitants such as forest elephants and birds. Trekking may take longer than expected (between 2 and 6 hours), depending on how far the gorillas have moved. When you locate them, you have 1 hour to spend with them and take photos.
Return to the lodge and refresh. In the evening, you will visit the Batwa community living outside the park. They are the first forest people before eviction and gorilla tourism began. You will learn about their lifestyle through exhibitions, storytelling, and traditional dances.

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth via the Ishasha sector
Have breakfast at leisure and then transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park through Ishasha, the southern sector of the park. The Ishasha sector is known for the adaptive behavior of the lions climbing trees. Besides the tree-climbing lions, the sector has wildlife species such as elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, and many others. When you arrive, have lunch at the lodge and go for a late afternoon game drive where you will be able to see most of the mammal species and several bird species. Have dinner and an overnight stay.

Game drive & launch cruise
Wake up to a refreshing cup of coffee at 06h00 and go for an early morning game drive. Drive to the open savannah on the Kasenyi track in the northern sector of the park. Kasenyi is known for the large concentration of big cats, lions, leopards, antelopes, elands, impalas, and defassa waterbucks. With luck, you will be able to spot all of them. Return to the lodge for a late breakfast. Refresh and have lunch and later go on an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel where 2 lakes meet.
The Kazinga Channel has a large concentration of crocodiles, hippos, and elephants on the banks of the lake. It is also a habitat for various birds such as pink-backed pelicans, malachite kingfishers, and African fish eagles among others. Cruising on the Kazinga Channel is one of the most eye-catching activities in the park. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Morning game and crater lake drive & transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Have a delicious breakfast and later head out for a morning game drive and crater lake drive. Queen Elizabeth National Park has quite a number of enormous crater lakes with eye-catching views for good photography. Have lunch at the lodge and exit the park to Kibale Forest National Park which is home to chimpanzees. It is a 3 to 4-hour scenic drive where you can see the Rwenzori Mountain ranges and tea plantations. You will reach the park in the evening and check in at the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Chimpanzee tracking & Bigodi wetland walk
You will have breakfast and then go to the park quarters for a briefing. Remember to carry enough drinking water and your packed lunch. After the briefing, embark on trekking through the forest at around 08h00 in the company of the park rangers. Along the way, you will spot other primates such as grey-cheeked mangabeys, L’Hoest's monkeys, and bush babies among others. You will also spot a number of birds.
After the trekking, return to the lodge for lunch and go for a walk in the Bigodi Wetland in the afternoon. You will meet the different people who stay there. You will also see birds like the great blue turaco, more primates, and bush pigs, otters, and baboons among others.

Return to Kampala for airport drop-off
After a hearty breakfast, leave the park and drive back to Kampala via Mubende where you will see the beautiful, scenic views in the area. You will have an en-route lunch in Mubende and thereafter continue to Kampala, arriving in the evening. You will be dropped off at the hotel or airport. This is the end of the 8-day gorilla and wildlife tour.
