Transfer by air from Johannesburg Airport to Hoedspruit Airport, then by road to Arathusa Safari Lodge. Awake just after dawn in time for your early morning game drive and watch the wildlife around you come alive as the animals seek out water and a shady spot in which to laze during the day's rising temperatures. This is a very exciting and thrilling experience as you never know which animal you will come across, or in what type of 'bush' situation. Whether it's one of the Big Five, or a whole plethora of other mammals, every drive is unique. Return to the lodge for breakfast and then relax by the pool, the viewing deck, or away reading a good book. Partake in a optional safari talk or bush walk, escorted by a trained professional guide. Enjoy a drink at the bar followed by lunch, a nap and a swim, and finally the late afternoon game drive and a sundowner in a safe part of the bush. Return to the lodge to chat around the fire and enjoy the cuisine of a beautiful three-course dinner, accompanied by local award-winning South African wines.
