Day 1

This day, you will be picked up from your agreed location (Airport or Hotel) by your Safari driver/ guide who will drive you to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. The tropical rainforest of Bwindi spans 321 sq. km and boasts 90 mammal species, the infamous mountain gorillas, a range of primates, as well as 23 Albertine Rift endemic bird species, including the African green broadbill, the bar-tailed trogon and so much more.

You will stop en route for a visit to the Royal Drum Makers and see the equator where you can stand in both hemispheres simultaneously. You will take some pictures then From there, you continue through the terraced hillsides of Uganda arriving at the lodge in Bwindi for some relaxation, dinner and overnight. Relax and get ready for the next day's adventure.

Day 2

Gorilla trekking and Batwa (pygmies) cultural experience

After an early breakfast and briefing from the ranger guides, you will set off for the gorilla tracking in the forest. The activity starts at 8:00 am and you join the other members according to the distribution of the gorilla families (8 people per gorilla family). You need to take your packed lunch, enough drinking water, a rain jacket in case of rain, and trekking boots. The rangers will provide you with a walking stick. You can also hire a porter and pay him a tip to help you carry the bag. The trekking time varies, depending on where they are.

However, the encounter with the gorillas, lasting for about 1 hour, certainly is a rewarding experience and an unforgettable one. After the trekking, you go back to the lodge for relaxation. Later in the day, you will go for the Batwa (pygmies) cultural tour. While here, you will learn of their ancient ways of living. Time permitting, other optional activities include cooking lessons, community walk, and curio shopping to mention but a few.

Day 3

Transfer to Entebbe for your outbound flight

Transfer to Entebbe for your outbound flight

After breakfast, you will proceed to Entebbe with an en route lunch. You will stop at the equator where you will be able to stand in both hemispheres simultaneously. You will get to visit some craft shops and buy souvenirs. You will then drive to Entebbe arriving just in time for your outbound flight.
