Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you will depart at 07h00 with a picnic lunch and drive to the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a protected, multiple land use for humans and wild animals that coexist in harmony. This is also the world’s largest inactive caldera believed to have been the same height as Mount Kilimanjaro. It drastically collapsed due to volcanic activities, forming the now-seen caldera. The crater has a good number of wildlife, and it is a good place to see the rare black rhino.

You will get to witness a vast number of different wild animals during the game drive. The crater is a self-sustaining ecosystem, hence animals do not move in search of food or water. At around 17h00, you will drive back to the lodge. Upon arrival, you will have time to freshen up and join your fellow travelers for a nightcap in the bar as you wait for dinner.
