Day 3

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park

Today is dedicated to Serengeti National Park, perhaps the world’s most enchanting and breathtaking park. There may be a few destinations that top everyone’s bucket list to visit, however, Serengeti tops most for adventure lovers. After breakfast at 7:00 am, depart the lodge for a full-day game drive. Your guide will take you through different parts of Serengeti in search of the best wildlife-viewing spots.

In the afternoon you will stop around the Seronera area for a delicious lunch while scanning the area for game-viewing opportunities. Seronera is kept alive by the Seronera River which attracts thousands of animals. It is the main source of water in Central Serengeti. Continue searching for various animals - from the Big Five to giraffes and antelopes. After a full day of game drives in this best national park in Africa (recently announced by World Travel Awards), enjoy the sunset while driving back to the camp. Have a shower and a relaxed time around the campfire before dinner.

Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast at 7:00 am, go on another game drive in Serengeti National Park on the way to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. During this en-route game drive to Ngorongoro, explore the southern endless plains of Serengeti National Park. You will arrive at Ngorongoro at around 10:00 am. Ngorongoro has multiple land use where wild animals and human beings live together in harmony.

You will descend to the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater, a unique self-contained ecosystem. You will spend the afternoon in the crater, exploring its rich flora and fauna. Since the crater has a permanent supply of food and water, animals stay inside all year round, increasing your chances to spot as many animals as possible. While the game drive is a game of chance, this is the best place to see the rare, endangered black rhinos as well as flamingos that concentrate at Lake Magadi.

During the late afternoon at 5:00 pm, you will ascend the crater and drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
