Day 1

Transfer from Johannesburg to Kruger National Park

Transfer from Johannesburg to Kruger National Park

This morning you will be met up with your experienced driver at OR Tambo International Airport, ready to depart at 12:00 pm for your transfer to Marloth Park. The departure will be from the bus shuttle terminal at the airport (detailed instructions will be provided upon booking). This transfer is provided by a trusted transport company that runs on the route daily. The total transfer will be about 6 hours in duration, with various stops along the way.

Upon arrival, our friendly staff will check you into the lodge for your stay. You will enjoy a refreshing drink and leg stretch as you observe animals from the spacious verandah with bird songs to fill your ears. If you are lucky, you will be able to spot the elusive bushbaby (small nocturnal monkey), coming out to eat fruit that has been set out by the lodge staff.

Dig into a scrumptious traditional dinner prepared by our staff, followed by a brief introduction discussion to your activities scheduled over the next few days.

Full Day Game Drive in Kruger National Park

Start your morning off with a cup of coffee/tea before embarking on a thrilling open-air vehicle safari in Kruger National Park. Be sure to take your passport along as it is required for gate entry. The drive from Crocodile’s Bridge is one of the best Big Five roads to drive in the park, with the possibility of spotting other predators such as wild dogs and cheetahs.

A packed breakfast will be provided at the lodge to take along on the game drive.

Your qualified guide will provide commentary and interesting facts on the animals, birds or scenery along the way.

We will stop at one of the restaurants in the park for lunch (on your own account). There will also be other stops along the way, for a short break or a bathroom visit.

As your game drive draws to an end, you will head for the Crocodile Bridge exit, leaving the park in the evening. We will return tomorrow for more animal viewing! The night will be topped off with a traditional braai (barbeque) in the boma area at the lodge.

Sunrise Game Drive & Sunset Game Drive in Kruger National Park

We'll depart early for a morning game drive in Kruger National Park. Early morning game drives are typically action-packed with predators that are frequently found walking, hunting, or snoozing on the tar roads before retreating to the camouflage offered up by the bush.

You'll return to the Crocodile River gate by about 8:00 am, where you'll be picked up by our lodge staff to be taken to the lodge. Upon arrival, a delicious freshly prepared breakfast will be ready to enjoy.

The rest of the morning and early afternoon can be spent at leisure.

At about 4:00 pm, you will be transferred from the lodge to embark on an exciting sunset game drive that will run into the evening. This provides an opportunity to catch a glimpse of the furtive nocturnal creatures that are residents of the park.
Your night game drive will come to an end at 8:15 pm, and thereafter, be transferred to the lodge.

Upon arrival at the lodge, you'll be served a delicious traditional dinner to relish around the fire.
