2 travelers on Start dateDrive to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, you will be picked up from your accommodation in Arusha or the airport, and head straight to Tarangire National Park in the Manyara Region. The name of the park originates from the Tarangire River that crosses the park.
Ranking as the 6th largest national park in Tanzania and covering an area of 2,600 square kilometers, it is most popular for its large elephant herds and is usually very dry, in fact, drier than the Serengeti. However, its vegetation is much greener with lots of grass, vast areas with mixed acacia woodlands, and some of the wonderful ribbons of the aquatic forest. Also, do not forget about the giant baobab trees that can live up to 600 years, storing between 300 and 900 liters of water.
In the afternoon, you will break for lunch. After lunch, the game drive continues until you start driving to your lodge. It is now time to relax, dine, swim, and relive the memories you collected during the day.

Southern Serengeti National Park (Ndutu)
After breakfast, you'll head to the Lake Ndutu region a sublime landscape of the southern Serengeti ecosystem. Over 2 million migratory animals made up of wildebeest, zebras, elands, and Thompson gazelles move clockwise from Ngorongoro and the Southern Serengeti to the Northern Serengeti into Kenya and back.
This migration route happens because they follow the rains and therefore the new grasses grow rapidly. Traditionally the wildebeest and zebras tend to calve on these plains with a peak around February which makes for a beautiful natural spectacle and some exciting predator hunting behaviours.
The wildebeest continue to mature on the short grass plains well into March and April gaining strength for the long migration to the North following the rains and the new pastures.

Full-Day in South Serengeti National Park (Ndutu)
After breakfast, you will continue from where you left the previous day.
A big draw of the Ndutu Region is to see the full circle of the great migration, from the return of the herds to graze in December, and then the calving which takes place in January and February, and then the departure of the herds again in April as they start making their journey northwards. Calving season is particularly dramatic: a million wildebeest give birth to 8000 babies every day, and as these newborns take their first steps, they’re targeted by lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas.
Sightings of six species of cats — leopards, lions, cheetahs, caracal, African wildcats, and servals — are a big highlight. You can spot the cats throughout the year, but the best viewing is during the calving months of January and February when these predators pick on the fledgling baby animals.
By late afternoon, you'll start heading back to your lodge to relax and relive the memories you collected during the day.

Lake Manyara National Park and Drive back to Arusha
After breakfast, you will check out from the lodge and drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive. Lake Manyara National Park is worth a stop in its own right. Its groundwater forests, bush plains, baobab-strewn cliffs, and algae-streaked hot springs offer incredible ecological variety in a small area, rich in wildlife and incredible numbers of birds. Pink flamingos stoop and graze by the thousands, colorful specks against the grey minerals of the lakeshore.
Lake Manyara National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, set in grassland, savannah, woods, mountain scenery, and hot springs. This park is home to flamingos, elephants, tree-climbing lions, buffalos, leopards, gazelles, baboons, hyenas, and many others.
