Today you will enjoy excellent views over Lake Manyara, see elephants up close in the woodlands, and visit the renowned Manyara hippo pool, where many, many hippos stay in the water from early morning until late in the evening. Your overnight stay will be at the lodge on a full board basis.
Lake Manyara National Park spans a modest 330 square kilometers (127 square miles), of which Lake Manyara itself makes up 200 square kilometers (77 square miles) at its peak. This park is also a prime location for bird enthusiasts and offers ample opportunities to spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, baboons, warthogs, buffalos, and, with a stroke of luck, the elusive tree-climbing lion! During your game drive, consider taking a break at the hippo pool to stretch your legs and observe these fascinating creatures.
