Arrive before 13h00 in Entebbe and meet our Nsavi Safaris driver-guide. We start the drive to Kibale Forest National Park, passing tea plantations along the way. This diverse forest boasts 13 species of primates such as the red colobus monkey, grey-cheeked mangabey, red-tailed monkey, and the rare L’Hoest's monkey. There are over 335 bird species in the park, including some which are rare and endemic to the Albertine region and varying tracts of the tropical forest.
You will arrive in the late afternoon or evening and check in at your accommodation where you can relax and enjoy dinner.

Chimpanzee trekking and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park
You will go for chimpanzee tracking and enjoy a wonderful forest experience with the habituated chimpanzees. These engaging apes are closest to human beings and are great to watch being playful both on the ground and in the trees. In the afternoon, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This is one of Uganda's most popular parks, offering scenic game drives. It has a wide variety of wild animals and over 600 bird species, incorporating a wide variety of habitats that range from savannah to wetlands and lowland forests. Have a boat ride on the Kazinga Channel before proceeding to the lodge.

Morning game drive and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Have an early morning game drive. There are over 100 mammal species including lion, hippo, buffalo, leopard, spotted hyena, elephant, and the elusive giant forest hog in this park. You will also visit the salt lakes in Katwe before returning to the lodge. You will then drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The park is home to the largest population of mountain gorillas and hosts a variety of spectacular birds including 23 of the 24 Albertine Rift endemic bird species including the blue-throated broadbill, bar-tailed trogon, and other beautiful forest species.
You will go to bed earlier this evening so that you are well-rested for the thrilling experience of gorilla trekking tomorrow.

Gorilla trekking
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters where you will have an orientation and meet your guides for the day. Trekking the mountain gorilla is one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The trek will take between 2 and 7 hours, but is well worth the effort. You will be led by an experienced ranger who will tell you interesting facts about flora and fauna and the lifestyle of the gorillas. The trekking is thrilling and yet challenging as you hike through the forest to the gorillas. Once you reach a gorilla family, you will have the chance to observe the family in close proximity for an hour.
