Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, where our representative will meet you. Depending on your arrival time, we shall either take you to your hotel in the city or depart for a drive into the Great Rift Valley and to Lake Nakuru National Park in the late morning. Lake Nakuru is one of several Rift Valley lakes, and its ecosystem supports a wide ecological diversity of greater and lesser flamingos and other water birds—the area's major attractions. The ecosystem provides for about 56 species of mammals, including the white rhinos, buffaloes, and a variety of terrestrial birds numbering nearly 450 species. The park is truly remarkable as it has achieved international fame as an animal sanctuary. Both black and white rhinos are given a new lease of life in this park. You will go for a game drive in the late afternoon, including a walk by the shores of the lake to get up close with the many birds found here.
