Tarangire is the sixth-largest national park in Tanzania, renowned for its diverse ecosystems and the striking presence of the Tarangire River, which flows through the park. The park is famous for its high density of elephants, making it an excellent destination for wildlife enthusiasts. Admire the iconic baobab trees that dot the landscape, and encounter large herds of zebra, wildebeest and Cape buffalo. You may also see other resident animals such as waterbuck, giraffe, dik-dik, impala, eland and Grant's gazelle.

Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, we will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a final game drive. After spending valuable time down the crater you will drive to Ndutu for afternoon game drive and your overnight stay.
The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest unbroken caldera and one of Africa’s most iconic natural wonders. It is home to approximately 30,000 large mammals throughout the year, including buffaloes, lions, elephants, cheetahs, and the rare black rhino, as well as a wide variety of bird species such as flamingos, eagles, and buzzards. Be prepared for incredible wildlife sightings in a relatively short amount of time.

After breakfast, depart for a thrilling game drive in the Ndutu area of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Do not forget to pack your picnic lunch! Enjoy a full-day game drive in Ndutu, renowned for its stunning landscapes and rich wildlife. This area offers some of the best wildlife viewing opportunities in the world.
Look out for dramatic scenes as predators hunt amidst thousands of wildebeest. Experience the fascinating calving grounds and nurseries for the wildebeest, which in turn attract numerous predators. Observe nature in its purest form as the cycle of life unfolds around you.

Leave your accommodation early to make the most of your time in Ngorongoro Crater. Travel to Ngorongoro Crater, known for its stunning landscapes and rich biodiversity. You will descend 610m (2,000ft) into the crater, experiencing breathtaking views along the way.
Enjoy a packed lunch amidst nature to stay energised for the day's activities. Visit regions where monkeys and elephants reside, observing their natural behaviour. Explore the lakeside, where flamingos and other bird species congregate, offering fantastic photographic opportunities.
Traverse the open savannah, observing lions as they hunt and witnessing the dynamics of the ecosystem.
