Day 1

Arusha to Serengeti National Park

Arusha to Serengeti National Park

After your 5:50am breakfast at your lodge, our guide/driver will pick you up at around 6:30am and head towards the famous Serengeti National Park. The drive will take about 5 to 6 hours.

You will start your day passing the famous eighth wonder of the world, the Ngorongoro Conservation Areas. In the afternoon, you will arrive at the world’s best park, Serengeti National Park. The park has millions of wildebeest! There are thousands of buffaloes, damalisks, hartebeests, warthogs, elands, giraffes, elephants, and hundreds of hippopotami. However, today there are only 50 black rhinos in the park compared to almost 500 in the 1970s.

Large predators include about 3000 lions, 1000 leopards, and 500 cheetahs. The park also has the largest ostrich population in Tanzania (and probably Africa). Lunch will be available at the picnic site before the afternoon game drive starts. Once the game drive is complete, you will head to your camp for dinner, and your overnight stay at Camp Zebra.
