Johannesburg to Kruger National Park

This Kruger National Park budget safari departs daily from Johannesburg's OR Tambo International Airport. You need to be at the OR Tambo bus terminal by 7:00am. We will send you full instructions when you book your safari.

You will travel east, passing picturesque landscapes and farmlands en route to your lodge near Kruger National Park. There are one or two comfort stops en route. You will also be able to buy snacks and refreshments during these comfort stops. The estimated time of arrival in Hazyview is around 1:00pm.

After check-in, you will have time to relax and freshen up before boarding an open-sided Landcruiser for an exciting 2 – 2.5 hour late afternoon game drive in Kruger National Park. The lodge is about 15 – 20 minutes from the Phabeni Kruger Gate.

After your safari game drive, you return to the lodge, where you can unwind, have drinks and relax. Your dinner and overnight stay are at the lodge.

Kruger National Park

You will have an early morning wake-up call and be offered coffee, tea, and rusks before departing on a full day of game drives in the Kruger National Park. In addition, you will receive a packed breakfast that you can enjoy during the drive. The Kruger National Park’s Skukuza area is rich in wildlife, and the elevated height of the 4×4 open-sided vehicle makes for excellent viewing and photographic opportunities.

The game drive consists of three legs of about 2 hours each. First, there is a sunrise game drive followed by a breakfast stop. Then, a morning game drive followed by a lunch stop (you can buy food and drinks at one of the shops at the rest camp). After lunch, you will embark on an afternoon game drive. Finally, you return to the lodge around 3:00pm.

Johannesburg

On the last day of your Kruger National Park safari, you can choose between an optional morning game drive or a relaxing morning at the lodge. Then, around mid-day, you will check out and begin your travels back to Johannesburg. Drop-off will be at Johannesburg's OR Tambo International Airport at around 5:30 pm. Your safari ends here at the airport.
