Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park for Gorilla Tracking

Today you will embark on a journey to the remote, beautiful and hilly south western Uganda. This long drive of between 8 to 9 hours is a rich experience to people who love road trips. Most of the road is paved but even for slightly uncomfortable parts, they get more adventurous with the beauty of rolling hill. As you go through the villages and gaze at locals, you will shocked to learn that you are already at the lodge. Dinner and overstay at Ichumbi.

Gorilla tracking and transfer to Kalinzu forest

After an early breakfast, you will drive to the briefing point in the forest of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to get to be enlightened about your adventure with the Mountain Gorillas. You are advised to carry enough drinking water and a lunch box. At a cost of 15 US dollars, you can get a potter to carry your bag and give you a hand in slippery or steep parts of the forest. After the briefing, you are distributed into groups of eight and led by a park ranger into the forest where you will spend one hour with the gentle giants. A rain gear is important considering that Bwindi is a tropical rainforest. After tracking, you will be transferred to Rubirizi near Kalinzu Forest in preparation for chimpanzee trekking the next day. Dinner and overnight stay.

Chimpanzee Tracking and Transfer to Entebbe

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kalinzu forest managed by Uganda National Forest Authority for Chimpanze tracking. On top of the all the right forest gear, remember to carry enough drinking water. After a briefing, you will enter the forest and when you find the chimpanzees, you will be allowed one hour with them. After the activity, you will be transferred to Entebbe.
