The enclosed nature of the crater has created an ecosystem all of its own, resulting in some of the best opportunities to spot game. It also has the densest known population of lions, buffaloes, elephants, leopards, and rhinos can also be seen here, in addition to a host of other well-loved African classics like the ostriches, zebras, cheetahs, wildebeests, gazelles, and even hippos. Game viewing is superb year-round in the Serengeti. You will enjoy your breakfast at your accommodation and drive out with your packed picnic lunch. The dramatic scenes of huge herds on the move, crossing rivers and vast plains and pursued by predators looking for their next kill, are the stuff nature documentaries are made of.
