Day 1

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

Early in the morning your guide will pick you up from your Arusha accommodation and head off on your journey to Tarangire National Park. Enjoy a full day game drive within the park with a picnic lunch - Our picnic lunches are served on full tableware to reduce waste associated with tourism. Your lunch will either be a warm or cold meal and served with a selection of wine and local beer.

Tarangire National Park is famous for its large population of elephants, tower baobab trees and numerous species of birds and monkeys. After an exciting day of game driving head to your accommodations within the park. Spend the night in a beautiful tented camp, enjoy the star light sky next to a bush TV (camp fire), while you hear elephants and hyenas off in the distance. Its truly an unforgettable experience!

Day 2-3

Ndutu - Southern Serengeti

Ndutu - Southern Serengeti

Today you will journey to Ndutu - Southern Serengeti. During this time of year the herds of wildebeest return to Ndutu following the rains and smell of fresh grasses. Every year from January- February millions of wildebeest give birth, the grasses growing in this region are especially nutritious for growing calves due to the volcanic ash that fell centuries ago. With the return of the herds so do the large cats, looking for their chance to get a good meal!

Ndutu is a special place with few permanent roads, you will get a true off roading experience as your guide navigates the region. Spend the next few days as you wish, full day game drives or afternoons spent relaxing by the pool the options are endless! Consider adding a morning hot air balloon ride to capture a bird eye view while the sun rises over the land, available for an additional fee.

Day 4

Ngorongoro Highlands

Ngorongoro Highlands

After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in Ndutu followed by a picnic lunch before heading back towards the Ngorongoro Highlands for the evening. The landscape once against changes dramatically from flat bare plains to much thick jungle of the slopes of Ngorongoro Crater.

During the journey back to the Ngorongoro Highlands, you can choose to add additional activities such as visiting a Maasai Boma, visit Olduvai Gorge or a Ngorongoro Crater rim walk with a guide – allowing you to discover some of the wildlife and fauna on foot. The additional activities are available at an additional expense.

Day 5

Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast you will make your way to the Ngorongoro crater where you will descend approximately 2,000 feet to the floor of the crater. Once an active volcano that exploded and collapsed on itself over 3 million years ago creating a unique and spectacular habitat for many wildlife. The crater is now home to many wild animals including black rhino, elephants, zebra, wildebeest and lions. There is also a few fresh water and soda water lakes.

Game drive all morning before stopping for lunch by one of the lakes. After lunch you will make your ascent from the crater and your guide will take you back to Arusha to catch your flight or drop you at your next accommodation.
